I enter the gate to my mama's house and immediately feel like I am home because she is here.

I am so grateful and lucky to have her by my side and always supporting me. I learned from her that you don't need a man to be with you in order to be happy and keep going with your life.

The front door is opened before I get to even ring the doorbell. My mama pulls me into a hug and gives me a kiss on the head before practically dragging me into the house.

We enter the kitchen where my aunt is holding a phone and Amado's voice is coming from it.

"Mo is here." She announces to him.

"Let me talk to her, please." He asks his mother who smiles. He's only ever so polite to her.

My aunt hands me the phone and I take it off speaker before going back outside. I'm sure I know what her wants to talk to me about and our mothers shouldn't listen because they don't about our actual jobs. They think that Amado truly is some sort of police agent, and they think I'm just a successful woman who found a job in the tech world.

"Amado." I acknowledge him so that he speaks.

"I was just checking up on my mama and yours... How are you?"

"The same. I'm still looking for Alina while working with the Italians and Russians." I'm not going to mention Akim because he doesn't of him.

The time I was with him he never got the chance to meet him because he was busy doing his job and traveling at the same time. He didn't even make it to my wedding. He always cancels on things to do his "job" when all he does is lie to the police and help criminals that pay him millions.

"Yeah, Gianna came to live over here because according to Leonid she isn't safe over there." He informs me and I furrow my eyebrows.

"You live with them?"

"Yeah, kind of. Leonid has a house that fits more than two families over here. Him and two of his men offered for me to stay. I accepted since they're not charging me and it's close to my office." How did I not know this?

"How close are you with these Russians?" This might get out of control if he knows Akim and then finds out that I'm married to him.

"I've only known Leonid for a few years and just met his brother a while ago." He responds and it feels a bit painful to know that Akim has been closer to me than I thought.

"I'm transferring back home." He suddenly tells me.

"You're coming back here?" I never thought I would hear that from him.

"Yeah, I miss my mama and I also want to help you more with finding my niece." His words about Alina immediately make a small smile appear on my lips.

"Thank you." I've told him many times that he doesn't have to do anything when he has already helped me enough, but he refuses.

"Morelia, we grew up together so you're literally my sister at this point, you don't have to thank me."

"I know, but it has to do with my daughter, so it means a lot to me." My voice becomes soft at the thought of her.

"Alright then. I have to go. I'll talk to you soon. Say goodbye to my mama and my aunt for me." He chuckles following his request.

"Okay, thank you, bye." I hang up on him before he tells me to not thank him again.

He really is basically my brother at this point. I remember we used to beat each other up as kids sometimes and now he's over here being nice and helping me.

I walk back into the house, and I return the phone to my aunt. I notice her and mama have happy and excited smiles on their faces.

"Did he tell you that he's coming back home?" Aunt Lydia immediately asks in a cheerful tone.

"Yes, I'm glad he is." I give her a just as cheerful smile.

I totally understand her contentment. It must feel amazing to know that you'll be reunited with your child after so long of not seeing them. I so badly wish to know how it feels like.

I pray every day that I'll find at least one thing that can lead me to my daughter. I feel like I'm slowly dying by the day that I don't have her with me. I was so useless that day that I couldn't even stop anything or even react that much.

The day that I find the ones responsible and behind her kidnapping I will kill them. I don't know how exactly I'll react, but I have a feeling that I might stab them to death and take out everything that I've been trying so hard to push away these past months on them. It all depends on the day that it happens, how I'll be feeling, and the situation I'm in.

"Come sit, Mo." Mama interrupts my thoughts motioning to the chair in front of me.

I take a seat as she places a plate in front of me that I hadn't even realized she was serving. It's a full plate of chilaquiles rojos with cheese and a fried egg on the side.

"Don't give me that look. Parece que no estás comiendo bien. Eat." She's not wrong. I have been forgetting to eat lately because I've been so busy and have had a lot going on physically and in my mind.

I don't say a word and just begin to eat.

"You need to be strong and healthy for when you get my granddaughter back." Mama reminds me and I realize she is right like always.

"Have you gotten any news about her?" My aunt asks as she and mama take a seat with their plates of food.

I simply shake my head. They think the police is looking for her but the truth is the police were never involved except Amado. It's just been me and him looking for her and I'm sure I'll find her quicker now that he will be back.

"Not yet."
