My phone rings once again and I just stare at it.
I sip on my coffee while watching it ring over and over again.
It's Akim.
I lost count at this point of how many times he has called.
It finally stops for a while, and I sigh in relief that he gave up because I was just about to throw my phone across the apartment.
A text message notification suddenly appears on my screen and I try my best to ignore it as well. I stare at the screen for a few seconds until curiosity gets the best of me and I grab it to see what stupidity he could have said.
He got stabbed.
He calls once more just as I finish reading the text. I answer without thinking.
"Baby, please come. I can't really move." He sounds like he is in so much pain and my first instinct is to get up and go find him.
I do it immediately going to put on a pair of sandals.
"Where are you?" I immediately ask with concern.
"Leonid's house." With that I hang up on him and go to grab my car keys not wasting a second to go to him.
__
The property is empty which answers my question as to why he didn't call a guard or someone to help him.
It's a bit weird because I'm sure that considering who this family is they would would have guards around at all times.
The front door is conveniently unlocked when I try to open it. I walk in to an empty and very quiet house.
It's beautiful to be honest. I didn't notice it when I first came here because I was basically blinded by rage. All I wanted to do was yell in his face and try to get some of the anger that I have been suppressing out on him.
The sun is shining in through the windows which makes it feel nice and peaceful here.
"Akim?" I call out to him and I get deja vu of the last time I did that.
I make the memory disappear just as fast as it appeared.
"Upstairs." A faint deep voice groans and I walk up the large staircase going toward his bedroom.
Akim is on the floor leaning against a wall when I enter. I instantly go toward him and kneel down beside him wanting to make sure that he is okay.
"You came." He states looking at me through pained eyes and I notice the light coat of sweat that seems to have began forming on his forehead.
