I let go of my wife's waist when she enters the house in front of me.
I walk in behind her with Alina on my arm as she wraps her little arms around my neck and leans her head against my shoulder.
I can't explain or put into words how amazing it feels to have both of them with me while giving them so much love. I remember the feeling I got when Alina was put into my arms for the first time. I felt like protecting her and it also felt like she completed a piece of me.
I would have never thought that I would be a father this soon. I love it and it's what I was meant to do in this lifetime. I never actually knew what my purpose was in life until I met Morelia. My purpose was to be her husband and love her to death, and now it's that and to be a good and loving father to my little Alina.
"Ay, mi yerno querido. Good to see you again, welcome." Luisa pulls me into a hug after greeting and hugging Morelia.
"Good to see you too." I smile but feel a bit of guilt because Morelia lied to her about what happened.
"Mi niña hermosa, ven." Alina clearly understands her because she almost throws herself into her grandmother's arms.
"Come, let's eat." She tells Morelia and I as she happily walks away with her granddaughter.
My wife hugs my arm and looks up at me. "It's okay." She assures but I don't feel like it's okay.
"If she knows the truth then she will hate you, Akim." The way she is looking at me tells me that how much it means for her to have a complete family with good relationships.
It makes sense considering her past with her father, but I don't think she realizes it.
I give her a big and soft kiss on the lips. "Let's go eat."
She lightly smiles at me before we walk into the small dining area near the kitchen where Alina is blabbering to her grandma who is having a conversation with her in Spanish.

My mother-in-law takes a seat beside me with a small, light-yellow box in her hands.
She softly sighs and glances at me before handing me the box. I take it but I'm confused on what it is for. It feels like there is nothing in it.
"They're pictures and ultrasound images. I took them and kept them for Morelia to give to her when she was better." She explains as I open it.
I pick up the first picture in the stack of an ultrasound.
"The twins." Luisa tells me just as I realize it.
I can't help but feel more guilty. I caused her miscarriage and it kind of feels like I killed my own child. It pains me to think about.
"Morelia was depressed so her smiles in all these pictures are fake. They're beautiful but her eyes have sadness in them." She states when I look at the next picture.
