Sahiba's routine of strolling in the garden continued until one fine evening she found Inder sitting on the bench she usually sits on. She was about to retreat but then Inder called her and said, "Come here child, have a seat."
Sahiba was astonished by the fact that her father-in-law was offering her a seat but she quietly sat down and looked at him.
"You must be thinking why I called you right?" He asked still looking at the sky.
"No sir, how is Manveer mam now?" She asked him.
He smiled and replied, "She is fine now, thanks to you."
"It saw her struggling with asthma attack before also when I told her about Jasleen Aunty but this time it was much severe." Sahiba stated with a sigh.
"Manveer has been worrying about her son since the day he was born. Angad was a sweet child, respectful, soft-spoken and very cute also but during the phase of life when he saw me and Manveer fighting with each other during our odds, he kinda lost his trust on marital relationships. But then he fell in love with your sister and then he forgot his childhood, our fights and disagreements. Only thing he was now focusing on was his love for Seerat but she deceived him." Inder said ending with a long sigh.
Sahiba sat near him and quietly heard every word he said. She was now observing the kind of pain everyone was in after they got to know about her family's reality and how because of her mother's persistent nature so many people were sad.
"We know that you are not wrong in your place Sahiba but my son is someone who saw too much in his earlier stages of life." He said.
"I understand you sir." Sahiba said and she meant every word she said.
Sahiba maintained her dignity and her patience whenever she dealt with the Brar family. She knew that patience and dignity are the only 2 things which can ensure her survival in this household. She was accused many times of scheming against the family but then she always proved her innocence.
Inder was now sure that Sahiba is also in pain but she hides it well enough to not show someone her agony. Inder has this special ability to read faces. He can predict someone's mood by observing their face and he was sure that Sahiba is distressed about her life.
He always had mixed feelings about this girl who fought with his son every time she saw him but then married him when her parents forced her, came in the reception handled the media but still doesn't want Angad to be her husband. Sahiba never lost her patience with any situation.
Sahiba is unique, yes she is one of a kind.
Inder saw the girl getting sad again but then Sahiba started speaking, "Sir, I don't wish to offend you but I wanted to say something."
"Go on" he said.
"Sir, I have seen how much you love your wife and son then why do you always stay at odds with them?" The young girl asked with utmost respect which made his heart swell in pride.
"Somethings are beyond explanation my child. Manveer and I always have disagreed to everything but that doesn't mean I don't love her. She is the love of my life, mother of my son. I love her the most but sometimes things are just out of hand." Inder explained his side.
"Will you get angry if I tell you something?" Sahiba asked cautiously trying not to offend him.
"No, tell me." He permitted.
"Please think about it again. I have seen Manveer mam wanting your love and affection but she doesn't say anything and same with Angad, he want you by his side but he never says a word. I want you to think about your relationship with your family again; just once." She pleaded.
Inder didn't say anything which Sahiba took as negative but when she saw the man nodding his head in affirmation she smiled.
"Goodnight sir." She said and left.
Inder kept himself at the same place where he was and started to think about his wife and son and how his relationship is damaged with both of them.
'Sahiba was right' he thought.
With a determination to talk to his wife, he entered his room but found his gorgeous wife sleeping. He didn't think it was right to disturb her as she works too hard for this family's happiness. So he will talk to her tomorrow.
Angad saw from his window how Sahiba advised his father to think about the relationship with her mother again and he fumed in anger because he thought that no one has the right to speak between a husband and wife. It's their personal life and they are mature enough to sort it out.
Angad didn't want to include Sahiba in his family neither did he want her to stay in the Brar mansion because she still reminds him about Seerat and Monga family's lie webs.
Though he knows that Sahiba is not a bad person but as the saying goes, 'Once after getting burnt by piping hot milk, people drink the buttermilk also after blowing cool air on it.'
These lives were entangled with each other and the elders were also dumbfounded about the future.
