Chapter 49

Angad was covered up with blood and he was running inside a white building with his injured wife in his arms screaming and begging for help.

When the receptionist saw him, she immediately brought a stretcher helped him to settled Sahiba on it softly and carefully and she then informed her seniors about the emergency to which everyone cooperated in their roles.

Sahiba was currently in the Operation Theatre where she was being treated and Angad was pacing around with Randeep trying to calm him and the whole family which reached just after 20 minutes due to the traffic and security measures, were sitting on the benches in the hallway looking at the worried husband who was so scared to lose his wife.

Randeep had fulfilled all the formalities the moment Angad brought Sahiba to the hospital as they didn't wait for the ambulance and Randeep drove the car in which Angad was carrying Sahiba which helped in beginning of the operation as soon as possible.

Daarji was remembering the moments when Sahiba had entered the house.......

Flashback to the day of Sahiba and Angad's wedding....

Angad and the whole family were sitting peacefully after entering the Gurudwara hall for wedding ceremony known as Anand Karaj. It had been 20 minutes since Seerat's mother went inside to escort her daughter to the isle.

The environment had been happy and cheerful since the first child of the current generation was getting married and so it was the first wedding of the family exciting the whole household. Due to the circumstances and Angad's love for Seerat, Manveer approved of her because she wanted her child to be happy.

As the time was passing by, Angad was feeling fishy about the disappearance of his bride from the alter and so we wanted to check. But Veer stopped him saying that there has been a problem in the office which Angad handled peacefully by assigning Garry to work on it.

After waiting for a long time a girl entered the hall wearing the lehenga and choora Angad sent for Seerat but she was quite short and her head was covered with lehenga dupatta.

Angad thought about things going wrong but Seerat's mother said that Seerat has a habit of wearing high heels which is why she appears to be long in height but she is not.

Angad calmed down thinking that he may be overanalysing the situation and should focus on his wedding.

But after they were settled, the potential bride didn't appear to be the one they thought and chose, it was the poor and hardworking Sahiba who has been clashing with Angad since day 1 due to their different personalities.

It was Sahiba, the artist who did art work during Daarji and Bebe's marriage anniversary and was confident enough on her skills. She impressed them with her work and not her sweet words which is what they appreciated.

She was fierce, strong, opinionated and they came to know that her family cheated them which made the family furious but Daarji looked at the girl's strength which made her reveal the truth and then Daarji felt that she will do great as a person.

Daarji during that time was thinking about how to rectify the situation and how to save the family's honour so he decided to get her married with his grandson.

He convinced Angad for the same and the two got married.

Flashback over

After that day, Sahiba always respected and obeyed Daarji just like her husband. She was the perfect girl for his grandson and will always be the perfect girl for him.

She fulfils his nature and know how to tame him, similarly, he understands her concerns and know what she thinks and wants.

They are the true soulmates.

She saved his grandson from getting shot, and now is struggling for her life after the accident.

After hours of surgery the doctors came outside with a few nurses and he saw Angad rushing to them for asking about his dear wife.

"Doctor, how is she now?" Angad asked the doctor desperate for Sahiba's well-being.

Doctor kept a comforting hand on his shoulder saying, "She is out of danger, Mr Brar. She will recover soon. The bullet didn't penetrate enough to cause serious damage in the important areas of the body because of her sudden movements during the firing."

The Brar family took a sigh of relief that Sahiba was fine. Angad thanked Babaji for listening to his prayers and sparing her life.

But he was still unsure, and he will be unsure until he looks at her so asked the permission to see her once which doctors were hesitating because she had been in a serious operation but after Angad pleaded them, they allowed him to visit her quietly without disturbing her.

Angad followed the protocols and looked at her from a distance which was prescribed by the doctor as she wasn't awake yet because of the sedatives.

When Angad saw her peacefully sleeping because of her even breathing, his heart felt alive again because she was now okay.

A tear rolled down from his eyes and he gave her a kiss from far away and left the room letting her rest.

Angad came outside and said, "She is fine."

Angad had informed Sahiba's family about the incident and they also rushed to the hospital the moment they got this bad news.

Suddenly Veer along with Randeep and they asked him for a private talk to which he agreed and they told him something making him furious.

His anger had no bounds and he rushed out of the hospital fuming in absolute rage, today he will not spare them.
