It was 6:30 a.m., the time when Angad usually screamed for his protein shake to the workers but everything was so silent today that Manveer felt a little suspicious. Neither Sahiba was to be seen because she usually got ready early for her work.
Manveer went to check on Angad first and she knocked but no one answered so she decided to enter the room only to find her son and daughter-in-law sleeping peacefully in each other's arms.
She blushed thinking she may have disturbed their private time and retreated to her own room for getting ready.
Manveer took a long bath thinking that finally her son and daughter-in-law accepted each other as husband and wife, it made her so happy.
She was chirping when she came out of the bathroom and Inder looked at his wife who was behaving like a little girl who got her candy.
"Are you happy about something Manu?" He let out his curiosity.
"I am not just happy Inderji, I am ecstatic." She laughed while wearing her polki earrings.
"Why? Please tell me, I also want to be happy now." He teased her.
"It's just something. I will tell you afterwards." She said.
"As the queen wishes." He said smiling at her and then he went to get ready for his day.
On the other hand, Sahiba opened her eyes. They were paining a little because of crying last night. She then was brought back to reality and saw Angad sleeping with his hand around her waist and Sahiba was head was resting on his broad chest along with her one hand and the other was beneath her.
She then caressed his cheek and said, "I am sorry Angad. I shouldn't have married you like this. You were in love with someone else and then because of family pressure we took those holy vows.
I don't want to bind you with me. I also had dreams of my wedding and my groom but all were shattered by mummy.
But you shouldn't worry I will never hint you anything about this relationship, you are free to do whatever you want."
Sahiba then kissed his forehead and removed herself from his grip so softly that he didn't realize her absence.
But little did she know Angad was listening to every word she said and he felt a little guilty of his decision to marry her now.
He did save his family honour but Sahiba's heart was broken into pieces by her mother and then the behaviour done with her initially wasn't something a girl expects from her future-in-laws.
He wanted Sahiba to feel comfortable and happy.
Today is the last day of Art festival and so he messaged someone.
------------
Yashika rubbed her eyes when her phone made a notification sound. She picked up her phone and it was message from his beloved brother.
Conversation in Yashika's phone:-
Angad Bhai- Please do me a favour Yashu, today is the last day of Art fest and I want you to get Sahiba ready for this event by yourself. Make her look so beautiful that she outshines the beauty of anyone who dares to compete with her.
Yashika- Okay bhai. So Mr. Romantic Singh Brar wants his wife getting pampered?
Angad Bhai- Just do as said.
Yashika- But this one is in the evening and right now it's just 7 a.m.
Angad- I am aware of that thank you my little sis. Sahiba will first go to her shop today and she will be leaving for the event in the afternoon. Start your work after 1 p.m. Getting her ready will take time.
Yashika- Anything else my lord? *Sarcasm*
Angad- Just do it.
Yashika- Okay don't get angry now.
Angad knew that now he is relieved with one responsibility because Yashika will take care of everything. Yesterday was harsh on them but he will make this day her fairytale day come true with all the pampering. He has seen how happy she gets when everyone is happy with her.
So today he decided that he will do something for her.
Sahiba came out of her bathroom wearing a grey suit-salwar and patted her wet hair to dry. She looked in the mirror and closed her eyes.
She was seeing the scene from last night when she was so close to Angad.
How she hugged him....
How she kissed him....
How he carried her in his strong arms....
How their faces were just an inch apart....
If he would have been closer, then their lips could meet.
Sahiba's eyes snapped open to the thought of kissing him and she saw the red tint on her cheeks. She was feeling hot because the blush was still rushing from her neck to her cheeks.
She then rushed to the bathroom again and washed her face, applied her kajal and went downstairs. It was 7:30 a.m. because she took a long shower.
She went into the kitchen only to find Manveer chirping like a little bird instructing the staff about the day and so she greeted her, "Good Morning, Manveer aunty."
Manveer was happy but her happiness exceeded when she saw Sahiba entering the kitchen and she pulled her in a bear hug.
"I am so happy Sahiba, thank you my child." Manveer said after she broke apart and cupped her cheek.
Sahiba was perplexed with words uttered by her mother-in-law but she waited for her to finish the sentence.
"Why aunty? Is there any good news?" She asked.
"Sahiba don't joke with me. I know everything which happened between you and my son last night." Manveer said and she continued, "I know both of you got married in weird situation but I am so happy that you both accepted each other as husband-and-wife last night."
Sahiba realized that her mother-in-law was thinking that Angad made love to her to which she blushed because even the thought made her shiver.
"Manveer Aunty, whatever you are thinking didn't happen last night." Sahiba cleared the misunderstanding.
"Meaning?" Manveer asked.
Sahiba just sighed and her face went sad, "Last night was very tough for both of us. Angad got a devastating news and he broke down. I just comforted him and we're just talking, nothing more."
Manveer's face also lost smile and she just kept a warm hand on Sahiba's shoulder saying, "Is everything okay?"
Sahiba was now in a fix. She didn't know that she should tell Manveer about what Angad informed her or not. She was looking here and there trying to escape from her but couldn't.
"Yes ma, now everything is okay." A voice came from behind and Sahiba turned around to see her husband dressed in a brown suit with white crisp shirt and brown tie clasping his Rolex in left hand.
"Ma, I got to know something about Seerat last night and it did upset me but now I am fine. I know that she is my painful past but Sahiba is my present and future. She was there with me when I didn't even know I needed her." Angad spoke cupping Manveer's cheeks.
Manveer's eyes watered with what her child said, "Son why don't you stop thinking about Seerat?"
Angad said, "Mom, I love her. I can't let go of her in one night but I am trying to move on in my life and I assure you that I will."
Sahiba saw the pair of mother and son conversing with each other so lovingly that she started remembering her time with her mother in which she only was used to fulfil their desires. Smile went far away from her eyes and she left the duo talking and exited the kitchen.
She just left for her day in her shop, it was the last day of the Art festival and she needed to be prepared for that.
