Angad was sitting in his room and thinking about the woman living in his house as his wife. She is so lonely, scared, confused about everything and the least he could do is apologise to her for his harsh words.
He came to a conclusion after listening to her in the art shop that he will always have an upper hand but he couldn't find peace in his heart so he asked his driver to take him to the nearest gurudwara.
He went inside the gurudwara and paid his respects to the almighty. He was praying silently and suddenly he heard a man and a woman conversing with each other at in a corner because they we loud enough.
"You always do that!" The woman whined.
"But baby, it is necessary as per our family customs to visit the gurudwara after 10 days of our Anand Karaj (marriage ceremony)." The man who was presumably the woman's newly wedded husband pleaded.
"It's been just 10 days of our marriage and I am forced to follow everything. Thank God you are with me or else I would have committed suicide." She said pouting.
"Hey why would you say that?" He asked.
"Even the thought of being alone scares me. And you know every girl has some dreams of her beautiful marriage and loving in-laws. No one wants the family who doesn't give a damn what is happening to them. Every girl desires to be loved by her family and especially her husband." She said with a genuine smile.
"I love you baby." He said.
"That's the one thing I am alive for. Now let's go and pay our respects to Babaji." She said and both of them happily went on praying.
This made Angad rethink about his behaviour towards Sahiba as he always saw her weeping in the garden alone with no one to take care of her.
He actually observed her craving for a loving family because he desired the same from his marriage with Seerat but that thought had crashed down.
He then decided that he will protect Sahiba from everything.
He was in the present a little tipsy but he wanted to talk to Sahiba and so he went to the place he thought she will be in and he found her exactly at the point. There she was, staring at the moon again as per her daily routine.
He felt like her daily dose of looking at the sky at night provides her with some courage to fight for her life the next day. It strengthens her spirits to look forward for living the life.
He had heard her screaming and complaining in her room to her Babaji about her miserable and loveless life and how she desires love and affection from her family.
Angad always had the courage to admit his mistakes because that's what his Bebe taught him. Bebe always told him that a person should be tough enough to accept the fact that they have made mistakes and repent them because we are humans and we tend to make some mistakes in our life but the better person is the being who recognises and then apologises for his/her mistakes and then take a lesson from them.
He had such a loving family who taught him so many good values but he had realised that due to his status and ego from the first meeting with Sahiba when they had clashed, he had insulted her and had done the exact opposite of bebe's teachings
He rebuked her for not talking to him with politeness and he did the same because he thought it was the right decision.
Sahiba had always been against him because he was wrong in front of her to which she opposed. And he had now realised that if he was there in her shoes then he would have done the same.
Angad got to know that Sahiba had a wrong image about him in her mind due to their past clashes and he is not the person what she presumes him to be.
He wants her to know that he is also a human and she had misunderstood him a lot but first he needed to apologise for all the things he did to her. He had wronged her countless times for which he is feeling so much guilt that it could eat him.
He slowly went towards Sahiba and sat down next to her on the bench to which she jumped as she didn't expect anyone at this time.
Both of them were now looking at the sky which was filled with stars looking angelic.
"Did you expect anyone else?" He asked trying to start a conversation.
"Yeah, a few days back your little brother Prince came here" She smiled continuing, "with handful of chocolates and a huge smile."
"That little one needs to stop eating chocolates or else he would get cavities" He smiled too.
"I said the same but you will be shocked thinking about his answer on this." She said.
"Go on" he said a little excited about what the little Brar told her about cavities.
"He told me that his Angad paaji will defeat the bacteria and save him from cavities." She replied with a smile to which he laugh.
"You do laugh?" She said amused.
"Yeah but after Seerat left I was always gloomy" he sighed "trying to get my life back together after it got scattered into pieces."
It made her feel his pain and her heart ached for him she didn't know why.
"Sahiba, I wanted to talk to you about somethings." He said.
"What is it?" She asked a little worried.
"I..." He began with a sad smile "I am sorry."
"Hugh?" She reacted confused with what is happening.
"I have always demeaned you, disrespected you and taunted you about various things I shouldn't do." He said. "I am genuinely sorry. And because of my reckless behaviour you may have misunderstood me as an arrogant rich bastard but trust me I am not who you think I am."
"I know you are not a bad person Angad. You are very much hurt with the fact that I am the sister of the girl who broke your heart." She said.
"Sahiba..." He said but was cut by her.
"You behaved disrespectful because you expected me to bow down to you in one instant because that's what people have been doing with your family and you have seen it since the day you were born. You have seen that everyone bows down to your family members because you all are so respectful people." She said.
She continued, "But for me bowing down is something unacceptable. I will die rather than bow down in front of rich people."
"Why?" He said wanting her to share her pain with him.
"I am sorry Angad." She said, "I did also argue with you, insulted you and threw cruel words at your face and I shouldn't have done that."
"Can we ever move past this?" He said.
"We can, if we agree to be civil with each other." She said with a small smile.
"I am game, you?" He also smiled softly and it was the first time she saw the man smile.
"I am too." She said.
Both of them kept sitting on the bench that night observing the beautiful universe.
