'ello mates, I'm pretty bad at writing these "openings" haha. I just hope you are gonna love or even like this story, this idea just spawned in my head kinda. Feel free to tell me what you don't like or if you see some mistakes :) English is not my first language <3 enjoy !

Y/N POV:

It's 4 months now since I started dating Lando, however it is quali day today so I am prepared to spend this day without him paying much attention to me. Which is totally okay, because I am always the one to tell him to focus on his career more than on me. I am so proud of this man and I know this all is just a beginning of something way bigger for him.

I looked at my phone, it's 8:30 and I am in my bed, in a hotel room in Imola. Without Lando, yes without Lando. If someone is wondering why I am not in a hotel room with my boyfriend, ask his team principal. I used to work in McLaren, that's how i met Lando, it was 2 years ago. After a year I quit, I was an engineer everyone loved me as much as I did love them, I loved my job everything was perfect, till Andrea came. He was never satisfied with my work even though everything went perfect, he just didn't like me. So I quit and after some time of being good friends with Lando we started dating. I'm now happy where I am, I work as a media manager in F1 which is obviously totally different from being an engineer but I love my job. So yeah, Lando tried to get me and him one room, but it wasn't quite possible for his team principal to make us both happy, but we can get over it, we're adults.

I heard knocking at my door, I get up and walk past a mirror, I look like a mess so I just hope it isn't my boss. I opened the door and there is Lando standing, already in his McLaren clothes with a flower bouquet in his hand.

"Good morning, baby" he smiles, he's so cute, he obviously just woke up

"Good morning, what are you doing here so early?" I hug him tightly, I honestly missed him over the night

"Couldn't sleep without you" he kisses me on the forehead gently "happy 4 months, baby" he hands me the flower and a small bag

"Oh my God, thank you, honey, but how many times do I have to tell you, that I don't need you to buy me anything" I kiss him gently and take him to my room

He closes the door "You know I love to spoil you" he laughs "and also you almost made it to a half year with me, which is quite admirable"

I laugh as well and kiss him "I love you"

"Love you too" he smiles cutely "now open it"

"Okay," i smile and open the bag he gave me, there's a little box inside with beautiful gold earrings in it, I wanted those for quite a long time but i don't remember telling him "oh my god, how did you know i wanted those? Thank you so much, baby" I hug him tightly

"Saw a screenshot of them in your phone and I know you screenshot everything you want to buy" He laughs

"Thank you so much" I smile, trying not to cry "i got you a little something too"

"What? You say you don't want gifts but you always get me something?" He smirks

"I mean yeah, you know I love giving gifts, especially when I find something I am 100% sure the person is gonna love" I take out a box from my suit case, it is from APM Monaco, my favourite store "so here you go, I hope you are gonna like it"

I hand Lando the box and watch him only smile at me "Open it" I say eagerly

"Working on it" He laughs and opens the box, I got him a silver bracelet, because I know he likes to wear bracelets, with small silver stones and number 4 engraved on it. "Are you crazy? I love it, baby"

I smile happily, because I can see that he really does like it, when Lando doesn't like something you see it pretty clearly, it's like with kids.

"There is a number 4 on it, like 4 months but in case you decide to break up with me it's like your car number" I say joking

"Oh shut up, you're never gonna get rid of me" He laughs and hugs me around my waist, pulling me on the bed with him

"I don't plan to" I give him a little kiss and he starts kissing me more passionate "how much time do we have?"

"I have to be on the paddock at 9.30, so we have a hou-" someone interrupts him by knocking at my door

"Oh no, we don't" I say annoyed and get up to open the door just to see Andrea, perfect

"You're looking for Lando, I bet" i say not trying to hide my annoyance "he's here"

"Yes, I figured, Y/n" obviously he wasn't also trying to hide it

Lando heard us and got to the door. Andrea said they are having a meeting, so he stole Lando from me without even letting me kiss him goodbye. Oh how I hate this man.

I got ready to go to the paddock to see everyone. After I showered I got some clothes on and put on some makeup to look like a person again. The hotel was pretty close to the circuit so as soon as I left the hotel I basically entered the paddock. I got there with my pass that I wear every time and went straight to the McLaren garage.

"Hello beautiful" a kind voice welcomed me

"Oh hello Danny" I went to hug him right away "how are you?"

"I am fine, how are you? Why weren't you here yesterday? I missed you" He hugs me as well

"I had a meeting about some stuff at the time of the training" I smiled 'sadly' "but yea I am fine too" I giggle "where's Lando?"

"Somewhere in the changing room, probably checking himself out" Danny jokes

"Oh yea, that's typical from Lando" I laugh

"Hey, who are you slandering here?" Lando showed up

"You" I smiled

"You bitch" Lando smirks and goes to hug me

I laughed

"You two are so cute" Daniel smiles

"Yea, we know" Lando kisses me on the forehead

"How is it going so far boys?" I smiled at them both

"Pretty good, the quali starts in an hour and we have kind of big chances to be somewhere upper" Lando says smiling

"I'm happy to hear that" I smile happily
