Y/N's POV:

Charles and I were on our way to my favourite restaurant on my favourite beach in Monaco. I love how he remembers things. Lando never did. I should stop comparing them. We stopped on the promenade to watch the sea for a bit. There weren't a lot of people, so everything seemed really calm.

"We should get back after the food, the sun will be more down and it could look pretty" He chuckled

"We will definitely come back after, this is my favourite place I love just to chill in here" I smiled

"Okay, let's go now" He held my hand and I again smiled like a little child. Words cannot describe how proud I am to have him.

We sat by a table for two and Charles was still holding my hand looking at me with a smile on his face.

"What is it?" I asked

"I just love to see you being happy" He chuckled

"I'm the happiest I've ever been, Charles" I grinned "and it's because of you I hope you realise that"

"Really?" He asked, he really isn't so self confident in some things

"Really, have you seen me this happy before?" I chuckled trying to hold back the tears I felt in my eyes already just from reminding myself of Lando

He tried to give me a small smile "not really, but there wasn't much oppurtunities to see you at all"

"That's true" I said chuckling knowing he's damn right...I wasn't able to see him before

"Let's order some food now!" I guess he tried to move from the topic, I appreciated it

...

As Charles said, we really got back onto the promenade after lunch. For some reason there was even less people than before. Charles leaned onto the railing in there.

"Words can't really tell how happy I am with you, Y/N"

"Same, Charles" I gave him a small smirk

"Would you mind..." He started to ask but was obviously struggling to find the right words "you know...skipping a few chapters?"

"What do you mean?" I laughed not having a clue of what should that mean

"I don't know, it was a stupid question" He laughed himself

I didn't say anything to that I chuckled and I just kept on watching the see because that is obviously what we both like to do.

I turned around to not see Charles next to me, but under me. Kneeling down to be exact, with a blue box in his hand that has a ring in it. I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Will you marry me, Y/N?" He asked me smiling so happily but he's been holding back tears I can see that, but the happy ones

"A-are you kidding me right now?" I put my hands over my mouth

"I'm dead serious" He chuckled still looking at me with the box in his hand smiling so unsurely, he was scared of my answer

"Yes" I said nodding my head, feeling the tears burst out of my eyes "yes, I will"

The smile on Charles' face grew wider, he stood up and put the ring on my ring finger of my left hand. My hands were shaking and I was having tears in my eyes. I still didn't know what's happening, like is this real? Charles gave me a long kiss, I put my hands around his neck and then looked him right in the eyes, he wasn't crying but the tears were there.

"I'm so ready to spend my whole life with you" He giggled

"Me too, Charles, either way I wouldn't have agreed to that" I chuckled

I was still in a slight shock, I'm gonna probably never believe this.

"I fucking love you, Leclerc" I gave him one next kiss, he prolonged it

"I love you too, soon to be Leclerc" He grinned

A huge smile grew on my face, I'm gonna be his wife. I had to hide my face in his shirt.

"Congratulations, love birds" I heard a man voice say, I pulled away to see Charles' friend, Joris, I knew him, we aren't strangers to each other and I know he's Charles' best friend

Before I could say or ask anything, Charles explained "He was there the whole time, he was photographing this moment"

So he was planning to do this, he knew before that he's gonna do it.

"Oh wow- fuck, I'm sorry I'm still surprised" I chuckled

"I'm so happy for you two, you're like...soulmates" Joris chuckled

"I'd say that we really are" I smiled on Charles lovingly

"I agree, babe" He smirked

Joris has left after some time and me and Charles decided to have a walk home, before getting ready for his mom's house.
