A full moon rose from the horizon like a lamp suspended from the mountain's summit.

The mountain peak washed in a deep blue from the mercury-like brilliance.

Countless bird shadows swept across the mountain forest at night, seemingly in search of prey.

'Googoo —'

'Googoo —'

'Roar —'

At this point, Kakashi and the other two were running through the forest, up the hillside towards the summit.

The constant roaring of birds and beasts around them put them at ease.

The silence around them was what the ninjas in the wild were most afraid of during wartime.

Animals' intuition was acute. Generally, in this situation, there were powerful people lurking nearby.

Kakashi, who was running in front, noticed the quick breathing behind him.

He turned to face Rin, who was sweating and running in the back. Indifferently, he stated,

"Please wait a little longer. We're still about three hours away from our destination."

Obito turned around to look as well. He came to a complete stop and squatted down. With a silly smile, he patted his back and said,

"If you can't run anymore, Rin. Allow me to carry you."

Rin remained in the same spot, gasping for air. "I'm sorry, I dragged you down," she pursed her lips.

Obito became even more excited when he saw this and tried his hardest to invite,

"What are you on about? We work together."

Rin paused for a moment, then nodded and climbed onto Obito's back.

Obito kept running towards the top of the mountain, carrying Rin on his back.

At this moment, Obito's face had already turned red like a persimmon.

The faint fragrance of sweat, as if it had eyes, kept drilling into his nostrils.

The sensation on his back was so soft...

Rin lay quietly on Obito's back, watching Kakashi, who was in charge of clearing the path ahead of her, and her mind couldn't stop wandering.

She had been left far behind, unknowingly.

A group of Jounin could be defeated by Kakashi alone.

Obito, who had previously been at the bottom of the line, now had the strength to overtake Chuunin.

She only knew a few basic medical ninjutsu, however.

Rin raised her head to gaze at the full moon that had just emerged from the mountain's summit.

Uchiha Tonan's gentle smile flashed across her mind.

And the unbeatable figure she saw that day when she saw him fought Raikage.

Tonan.

Rin was completely taken aback. She discovered a figure standing in the moonlight.

"There is someone at the top of the mountain!" She exclaimed.

When Kakashi and Obito heard this, they came to a halt.

They both raised their heads.

They noticed a tall and thin figure standing on top of the mountain, back to them, as if admiring the full moon's beauty.
