Konoha Village.

In the Hokage's office.

Sarutobi Hiruzen stood beside the window, staring down at the two images he held.

Sarutobi Hiruzen, Sarutobi Asuma, Sarutobi Biwako, and Sarutobi Shinnosuke posed for a family portrait.

The other was taken by Orochimaru, Jiraya, Tsunade, and Sarutobi Hiruzen in the ninja team.

Sarutobi Hiruzen sighed as he gazed at the guy in the photograph.

Now that he thinks about it, it was once rather lovely.

But how did it get this way?

His two sons had perished, and his wife had divorced him as a result. She sat in the locked room all day, numbing herself with high-intensity work.

Tsunade and Jiraya became rebels after Orochimaru died, and he sought them out.

Why was he suddenly targeted by the world? Everything seemed to be working against him on purpose.

Everything appeared to have changed once he met that small guy.

Uchiha Tonan.

Sarutobi Hiruzen's heart grew increasingly moved by this name.

He felt he was a faithful trash at first, but as his latent talent surfaced, he wanted to grow him into a loyal tool.

Everything was fine at the moment.

All of the turning points seemed to be because he had neglected him, causing him to get envious and kill Shinnosuke.

He was like a heartless scissors, severing all the ties that bound him until he was the only one left.

Sarutobi Hiruzen sometimes thought that if Uchiha Tonan kept acting like this, things wouldn't be so horrible.

However, following the incident with Tsunade, Uchiha Tonan appeared to be entirely dissatisfied with him.

Danzo had been the target of his spiritual sustenance.

Sarutobi Hiruzen had previously tried to encourage Uchiha Tonan to stay, but he seemed to have changed into a different person and was indifferent to his persuasion.

This gave Sarutobi Hiruzen the impression that he had lost both his bride and his warriors.

Sarutobi Hiruzen, on the other hand, resolved not to be so reluctant now that things had come to this.
