"That's a great idea!"

"No way!"

Sabay kaming nagsalita ni Lizette mula sa walang kwentang mungkahi ni Lucas. What is it you may ask? This jerk just casually asked me for a date! He said that it will surely lose Damien's cool. Like hell, I care for that guy. I do not need anyone's help just for him. If he doesn't wanna talk to me then be it.

"Come on, Celestia. You can't fool anyone. We all know that you're bothered by him ignoring you." umpisa ni Lucas na siyang sinamaan ko nang tingin.

I sighed. Whatever. I'm sure there's a lot of ways for us to talk but it's definitely not that. Did he really think I'll agree to his suggestion?

"That's not gonna happen." sagot ko.

"And why is that?" tinaasan niya ako ng kilay.

Dalawa silang nakatingin sa akin at hinihintay ang aking sagot. Isa na namamg buntonghininga ang ginawa ko.

"Can you two knock it off already? I am not interested." saad ko para tumigil sila.

Kita ko sa gilid ng aking mata ang pagbagsak ng balikat ni Lizette. Si Lucas naman ay sumandal na lamang sa upuan at nagkibit balikat.

"Fine. I will not force you to do it." he said defeatedly.

Hindi na ako umimik at sumimsim na lamang sa aking iniinom. That's good. If they keep pestering me with that absurb idea then I will surely leave them here.

"But I know you're gonna need my help soon." ani Lucas sabay tayo.

"What—" hindi ko na natapos ang aking sasabihin ng umalis na siya sabay kindat sa akin.

Hindi ako makapaniwalang nakatingin sa pigura niyang unti unting lumalayo. Nang tuluyan na siyang mawala sa aking paningin ay napailing nalang ako.

"That guy..." he really is shameless.

"Aren't you really going to consider his idea? I mean it won't mean anything. He just wants to help." nabaling ang tingin ko kay Lizette.

"I'm good, Liz. I don't need any help. Damien ignoring me is for the better. It'll pass." sagot ko.

Lizette hold my hand and looked at me with worry. "But are you really sure it'll pass? Is this really okay to you?"

Iniwas ko ang tingin sa kaniya. Hindi ako kaagad nakasagot. Am I really okay with this? Him ignoring me? Honestly, I'm not sure. A part of me is glad that he finally loses his interest with me. I mean, it's for the good right? We both know from the start that whatever this relationship we have will pass. It'll not last long. We both know that.

But a part of me also can't accept the fact that he really got tired of me. He's been ignoring me for days so that just means that he did right?

Hindi ako sumagot at naisipang iligpit ang aking mga gamit sabay tayo. Tumingala si Lizette at tinignan ako.

"Where are you going?" tanong niya.

"I'll just freshen up a bit." saad ko sabay paalam sa kaniyang mauuna na.

Kahit saan umaabot ang aking isipan habang naglalakad. My mind is so fucked up right now. Madami ang gumugulo sa isipan ko. Everything is coming all at once. And this uneasy feeling I have won't come off.

I found myself in the quiet side of the field. Malayo sa gymnasium na palaging maingay. Umupo ako sa isang bench katabi ang isang katamtamang laki na puno.

I rested there for god knows how long. Mabuti nalang ay tapos na ang schedule ko ngayong araw kaya saakin na ang buong maghapon.

It feels nice breathing the fresh air. The weather isn't too hot and everything is nice and peaceful. Regardless of the calm atmosphere around me, I am still bothered.
