My alarm clock goes off exactly at 4:30 a.m., right on time.

Yawning, I quickly stretch before gettin out of bed. I slip out of my pajamas, and into the outfit that I had set aside last night. Then I grab my suitcase and carry-on bag, and bring them downstairs.

My mum and dad are already down here, saying their good-byes. I grab the two sandwitches I had made last night from the fridge, and two bottles of water as well.

Just as I'm walking out of the kitchen, I remember something. Quickly, I jog upstairs, into my room, and to my bedside table. Stuffing my ipod into my jacket pocket, I make my way downstairs again.

"Ready to go?" My mum asks excitedly.

"You bet I am!"

I hug my dad, we say our good-byes, and then we're out the door.

In the car, I put in my headphones, and fall sound asleep. The sweet, melodic voices of One Direction singing me a lullabye,

When I wake up, my mum is just pulling into a parking spot. I yawn, and stretch my arms and legs.

After going through baggage checking and all the other stuff, we head over to the Starbucks. I order something random, then wait for my drink. Once both my mum and I have our beverages, we choose a table and take our seats.

We're both too tired to actually have a conversation; so while she closes her eyes for a few minutes, my own drift toward the television.

Immediately, I recognize that faces on screen. Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Samantha Rose, Lily Turner, Hannah Collins, and Samantha Speakman. The boys from One Direction and their girlfriends. They seem to be backstage somewhere, the boys and their girlfriends are hugging and talking excitedly. All except for Liam, he's just standing off to the side and kind-of smiling. The TV is on mute, so I don't know what they're talking about. Then it shows One Direction on a stage. It must have been after a concert when they were with their girlfriends.

A commercial comes on, and my eyes dart from the TV to my mum. She is sipping what is left of her coffee. I haven't even taken a sip from mine yet. I pull out the sandwitches from my carry-on bag, and we eat them while I finish my coffee. By the time we're finished, we realize that there is only about six minutes before boarding for the plane begins. Hurriedly, we throw away the ziplock bags and cups and make our way over to our terminal.  We make it just in the nick of time.

"Tickets please?" The lady asks us, holding out her hand.

I hand them to her. She scans them, then gives them back.

"Enjoy the flight."

"Thanks."

When we find our seats, we stuff our sarry-on bags in the compartment above before actually sitting down. I get the window seat, and mum gets the one by the aisle.

Silently, I thank the Lord that there are only two seats in each row, and tha twe have seats right by each other.

After turning off my phone and ipod, I close my eyes. Falling asleep isn't too hard considering that I'm still pretty tired.

The cramps in my neck wake me up. Massaging the back of my neck helps a little, but I know that it'll take another hour or two before it completely dies down.

"About how much longer do you think mum?" I ask as I try to stifle a yawn.

"About twenty-five minutes."
