Chapter 19

'Okay girls, it's time for sound check!" Marina anounces to us.

We all squeal a little in return, jumping up and practically skipping to the stage. We wait for everybody else to arrive, then begin the dress rehaearsal. Everything goes exactly right. When the sound check is over, we're told that we're free to go and do whatever as long as we're back in time.

"Maybe we can check out the shopping scene here," Lily suggests.

"Yeah, and get an early dinner." Kelsey agrees.

"Girls! Hey girls! Wait up!" A male voice calls out from behind us.

"Is he talking to us?" I whisper.

"Maybe," Kelsey replies.

We all stop walking down the hallway and turn around. Turns out the voice, who belongs to Bryce, was trying to get our attention.

"Yes?" I respond to him.

"Leo, Cooper, and I were wanting to know if you guys wanted to hang out with us before the concert."

"Well we were going to go shopping and grab a bite to eat..." I trail off.

"Oh."

"But," Lily says, then looks at Kelsey and I for approval. We both nod once. "we could do that another time."

Bryce breaks into a grin. "Great! I'll go tell the guys. Meet us at teh side exit in ten."

"Got it." I say.

Bryce turns around and breaks into a sprint. Watiting until he's turned the corner, we then all burst unto a fit of giggles.

"You know, he's pretty cute." Lily comments.

Instantly, Kelsey and I being "ooh"ing and making kissing noises.

"You two are such dorks." Lily says, laughing a little bit herself, then begins walking to our dressing room again.

Kelsey and I follow her. In our shared dressing room, we all change out of our sweaty practice clothes. THen we head to the side exit to meet up with the guys. They arrive a few minutes after we do, shoving each other and joking around.

"Hey girls, are ya'll ready ro have the times of your lives?" Cooper says in this creepy voice then winks at me.

"Ew!" I say, and whilst laughing, punch him playfully.

"Cooper, I though we already talked about this! No creeping out the ladies!" Leo teases. This causes all of us to laugh even more than before.

"Well on that note, let's get going!" Lily says.

After a few hours of messing around, eating, sight-seeing, and other simiolar activities, we find ourselves back at the same building from this morning.

"Damn! Can't those girls just shut up?" Leo exclaims.

I don't blame him. There are more teenage girls crowding this place than I thought existed. And they are all shrieking at the top of their lungs.

All of us dancers show our backstage passes to a security guard- or maybe more of something like a bouncer- and then her lets us inside through a side entrance.

"Thank god!" Kelsey exclaims once we're inside.

"I know right!" Leo replies, rubbing his temples as if he has a headache.

"C'mon, let's go get ready for the concert." I say whilst giggling.

After changing into my 'costume', I head to- with the other girls- the left wing. One Direction greets the crows, and then the music to the first song, Live While We're Young, begins to play. Right on cue, Leo, Bryce, and Cooper pop out and start dancing. It's then that the nervousness kicks in.
