The Last Dance

Days have passed since Katherine got out of the tomb, she was already out of town. Emily had decided to stay in order to help kill Niklaus.

The past few days had been like a fairytale. Elijah and Emily had been meeting up together. Spending every single moment together. Emily hasn't felt this way since 1869. It feels like she's living in a flashback, but this time there is no one there to ruin their moment. 

Emily and Elijah are laying on the grass near her favorite lake. She's resting her head on his chest while he's playing with her hair. He is whispering sweet nothings in her ear while she is muttering a spell to play with the water.

"I wish we could stay like this for the rest of our excistance." He whispers. "Hmm." Emily replies throwing a few drops of water on him as she laughs. Elijah rolls his eyes. "What are you, five?" He asks while chuckling. Emily smirks and Elijah brings her on top of him and starts kissing her neck. Emily stops him and kisses him on the lips. Elijah kisses her back while slowly running his hand up her back and pulling her shirt up. Emily helps him take it it off as the cold evening breeze makes contact with her skin and she shivers.

That's when her phone rings. Elijah groans and Emily rolls her eyes as she gets off him and reaches for it in her bag. The number is unkown. Emily picks up. "Hello?" She asks. "Hello love." An unfamiliar voice says at the other end of the line. "Who is this?" She asks while putting it on speaker. "Don't tell me you don't recognise my famous saying." The man says. "Niklaus?" She asks. "Correct." The man replies. "You might be wonderng 'what happened to my voice? My accent?' I am currently in someone elses body so I do suggest you watch your back I could be anyone." He adds.

She looks over at Elijah who nods at her to continue speaking. "What do you want from me?" Emily asks. "I currently have Katerina with me and it has been brought to my attention that you two had quite the plan. Break my curse, earn your freedom. In case you're still intrested why don't you come to the decade dance with me, tell my brother he's free tocome as well. I won't bite." And with that the man hangs up. Emily looks over at Elijah looking worried.

"Get dressed and get in the car. I'll take you home, borrow a dress from Elena if needed. We have a dance to attend." He says. She nods and puts her shirt on quickly before they walk over to Elijah's car and drive back to the Salvatore house. 

He pulls up outside and kisses her forehead. "I'll come pick you up. Put a barrier spell on the house, don't leave unless I'm here." He says. She smiles at him and opens the door. "I'll see you in a bit." She says before getting out of the car and getting in the house.

"Back so soon?" Damon who is sitting in the living room raises an eyebrow. "Yeah. We need to talk." She says. "Talk about what?" Damon sits down on the couch. Emily sits next to him. "Niklaus has taken over someone's body. We don't know whose. He called me. Told me to get Elijah and meet him at the decade dance tonight." She explains.

"What are you going to do?" He asks. "We'll go, see who he is, what he wants. Just do me a favor, be careful. Don't trust anyone other than Stefan, me, Elena and Elijah." She says and stands up. "I'm gonna need Elena to let me borrow a dress of hers." She adds. Damon nods and gets his phone out, talking with who Emily assumed to be Elena.

Emily vamps to her room and opens her drawer getting out a small box. She unlocked it with a spell and opened it, revealing a neclace, a blue crystal as the pendant which hangs from a gold chain. She sighs and siphons its magic for a minute before putting it back in its wooden box and locking it with a spell she had created. 

That's when she heard a knock on her door. She put the box back on her drawer. "Come in." She said. Elena opened the door. "Hey, I heard you needed a dress." She says. She's holding a floral blue dress on her hand. "Here." She sets it on the table. "Thanks." Emily smiles. Elena smiles back and walks out.
