The Reckoning-Part One

March 30th 1868

Elijah stood over Emily as she finally woke up with a gasp. "What's going on?" She asked, looking around. "You died with your brother's blood in your system." Elijah explained, relieved she was finally awake. "I'm in transition." Emily muttered, mostly to herself as she put the pieces together. She wasn't stupid, she knew what that meant, she could either drink some blood and turn into a vampire or die, for good. 

"I'm not completing it." She announced. "I'm afraid that's not an option." Elijah said. "Even if I have to force the blood down your throat by the end of the night, I'm not letting you die." 

"It's my choice!" Emily pointed out. "I'm sorry, Emily, but I refuse to watch you die knowing this is my fault." He said while grabbing a glass of blood. "Drink it."

Emily shook her head, keeping her mouth shut. "What are you, Emily? A child? Cut the nonesense out and drink." Elijah scoffed, he knew forcing her to be a vampire would make her hate him but he didn't care, he just wanted to keep her alive, whether that meant losing her in the process. 

"Let me give it a try." Damon walked into the room, that's when Emily noticed it had no windows, it was a plain, small chamber with a wooden bed which she was lying at and a dresser. Elijah nodded and handed him the glass before walking out. 

"Kiddo, I know being a vampire sounds awful, but I promise you it's not." Emily was barely listening to Damon as she focused on the blood, the smell, she could almost taste it, all she wanted was to give in, but there was no way she'd ever become a vampire. "Get the blood away from me." She said. 

"No." Was all Damon said as Emily rolled her eyes.

2009

A few days have passed since Niklaus found Elena, surprisingly he agreed to let her stay in Mystic Falls, the catch was that he had to stay there too. Stefan and Damon haven't talked to Emily since she ratted them out.

"Morning Stefan." Emily walks inside the kitchen smiling as Stefan finishes his third bloodbag for the day. He ignores her and tosses the plastic in the trash. Emily rolls her eyes. "This silent treatment is getting really boring, I saved you from spending a decade with Niklaus, you should be thanking me." 

Stefan still doesn't say anything. Damon walks in. "Morning Stef." He smirks at his brother while walking past Emily. "Morning." Stefan mutters. Damon grabs a bloodbag. "Oh, so you two are a team now? Fine, I'm out of here."  Emily vamps to her room and takes out her suitcase. "What's going on?" Elijah starts to wake up from the noise. "We're leaving." She replies throwing her stuff into the suitcase with vampire speed. "What, why?" He asks.

"My brothers hate me, there's no point." She mutters while grabbing her grimoire and tossing it in the suitcase. Elijah sighs and gets up, he puts on a blue suit. "Give me ten minutes." He mutters while combing his hair and walking downstairs before Emily can protest.

"Alright this has gone too far." He says as he walks in the kitchen. "Stat out of this Elijah." Damon mutters. "No, I will not stay out of this, your sister wants to leave, so I suggest you end this nonesense." Elijah glares at him. "I could not care less about Emily after what she did."  Stefan rolls his eyes, Damon nods in agreement. "What is wrong with both of you? She was trying to save Stefan, it might have not been the best idea but she did it for you." Elijah says. 

"Yeah and now Klaus has Elena, thanks to her." Damon mutters. "Niklaus would eventually find out Elena is alive regardless, has it crossed your mind that perhaps what she did possibly saved her life?" Elijah points out. "No, it made her his human bloodbag." Stefan says. "And kept her alive." Emily walks back downstairs.
