A few days passed since Emily's meeting with her brother. She hadn't left the house ever since. Damon would kill her that was certain. She's sitting in the living room while waiting for Katherine to come back from shopping. After a while she walks in holding a bunch of shopping bags, a girl enters after her.

"And you are?" Emily stands up from the armchair she was sitting at. "She's Lucy, she's helping us out, we could use an extra witch. Lucy, this is my friend I was telling you about, Emily." Katherine explains. Emily gives the witch a look before turning to Katherine. "Can we talk? Privately?" She asks. Katherine nods. "Give us a second." She says before following Emily in her room.

"What's up?" Katherine asks. "I don't trust her." Emily says. "Well, she owes me, which means she won't betray us." Katherine points out. "Owes you?" Emily raises an eyebrow. "Yes Emily, I saved her life." Katherine explains.

"You saved my life too, do I owe you as well?" Emily asks, remembering what Damon had said. "What are you talking about Emily? You don't owe me, I saved your life because I wanted to, I saved her life because I needed to have a backup witch in case something happened." Katherine says.

"And how do I know you didn't save my life for the same reason, huh?" Emily is starting to get more suspicious by the way Katherine talks. One of the things she had taught her was to never do anything for someone unless you're getting something in return. Which gets her to wonder, why would Katherine save her unless she was getting something in return. Maybe Damon is right after all. She thinks.

"Emily, what is all this about? You know I care about you, you're my best friend." Katherine says, but Emily is starting to doubt every single word that comes out of her mouth. "Am I? Am I your best friend, or am I your minion?" She asks. "Emily, stop with all this bullshit and let's go back inside." Katherine says. Emily rolls her eyes. "Fine, but if she betrays us don't say I didn't warn you."

They walk back inside and head back in the living room. "So what's the plan?" Lucy asks. "I'm going to impersonate my doppelganger, Elena. What I need you to do is make sure in case Damon and Stefan try something, I am linked to her." Katherine explains. "Okay, why are you impersonating her exactly?" The witch asks. "Because we need the moonstone." Emily says. "If you'll need me I'll be getting ready in my room." She adds and walks out.

She starts getting ready, Masquerade Balls were never her favorite kind of Balls, that was mainly because of her past. She starts straightening her hair and putting on some makeup before she picks up a black short slip dress and putting it on, then she wears a pair of black heels to match the outfit and a red mask. 

Katherine and Lucy are already ready waiting for her, Katherine is wearing an Adhesive short black dress and Lucy a blue one.

When they arrive at the Ball Lucy leaves and the two friends look around for Stefan, Emily spots him first and vamps in front of him. "Hello Stefan." She smirks as Katherine vamps next to him. "Emily, Katherine." He says, his look is stuck on Katherine. "Dance with me." Katherine says. "No." Stefan answers. "Fine then tell me who I should kill." Katherine smirks. "That one looks tasty." Emily says, looking at a girl across the room. 

Stefan rolls his eyes and takes Katherine's hand. They walk over to the dance floor and start dancing together, Emily uses her vampire senses to listen to their conversation. "Where is the moonstone?" Katherine asks. "Tell me what you want with it." Stefan smirks. "Stefan, I won't ask again, give me the moonstone." Katherine says while Stefan spins her around once. "You see Katherine, I don't have it with me so why don't you come with me and we can take it." Stefan says. "No, you'll get the moonstone and in the meantime I'll try to not kill anyone." Katherine smirks again. "We're doing it my way or you don't get the moonstone." Stefan warns her.

Just then a girl walks up to them asking Katherine if she's seen Matt, she says that she hasn't and walks behind her with the excuse of fixing her necklace, she breaks her spine before killing her with a simple move. "The moonstone Stefan, quickly." She says and walks over to Emily while Stefan is holding the dead body.

"Nice move." Emily comments. "Thank you." Katherine smirks. "Now what?" The redhead asks. "Now we wait." Her friend smirks.

Around thirty minutes pass and Caroline walks up to them. "Stefan has the moonstone, he's upstairs." She informs them. "Show us." Emily says, grabbing her by the hair and walking upstairs with her as Katherine follows them. "Stop, why do you keep dragging me into things I don't want to do?" Caroline complains. "Shut up." Katherine glares at her. "Which one is it?" She asks. "That one." The blonde replies, Emily lets go of her and walks into the room along with Katherine.

"Where is it?" Katherine turns to Caroline who is smiling. "I did it, I didn't think I'd actually be able to fool you two, but I did it." She says. Emily immediately tries to get out of the room but something pushes her the moment she reaches the door. "Barrier spell." She mutters. "Merabas hic libatar." She tries to cast the spell that unseals it but it doesn't work. "Sol." She mutters trying a spell just to see if it works.

"Someone has clearly blocked magic in here." She turns to Katherine. "Stefan." Katherine turns around and Emily does the same. Stefan is standing on the other edge of the room, holding a stake. "You can't actually believe you can kill us with that thing." Katherine rolls her eyes. "Oh I know but he can." Stefan smirks. 

Emily turns around quickly and sees Damon holding a weapon. He shoots a stake to Katherine it hits her on the back. She takes it out and throws it at him while Stefan manages to grab Emily and hold a stake in front of her chest. "You either stop fighting and accept your fate or my sister dies, your choice." He yells at Katherine. 

"Stop." Elena's brother appears at the door. "Whatever you're doing to Katherine happens to Elena." He says. Katherine smirks, so does Emily. "Do me a favor." Stefan says before stabbing Emily with the stake on the arm. "Check if that happened too." He says as Emily lets out a scream. Jeremy nods and runs off. Damon lets go of Katherine and Stefan takes the stake out of Emily's arm still not letting her go.

"Stefan, let your sister go." Katherine glares at him. "I would rather not." He smirks, holding her tighter by the neck. "Not until I find out whether she too is linked to Elena."

"Nothing happened to her arm." Jeremy comes back. Stefan smirks, Emily looks at Katherine. "You didn't tell her to link me too?" She asks. "I thought I told her to." Katherine mutters. Stefan snaps Emily's neck and lets her fall on the floor. 

"Now we just wait for the spell to be broken, then you will be dead and our sister will be in our basement." Damon looks over at Katherine.

Emily sighs as she opens her eyes and looks around, the last thing she remembers is Stefan snapping her neck. Now she is in a basement, that is certain, she just doesn't know where. She's tied up with vervain ropes to a chair and there's a circle of salt around her, another barrier spell. She tries to free herself but the rope only tightens. 

"I wouldn't try that if I were you little sister, they're charmed, the more you struggle the more they hurt." Stefan walks in the basement. "Where am I?" Emily asks, groaning because of the vervain burning her wrists. "At the Salvatore Boarding house, in the basement." He replies. "What about Katherine?" She questions. "She's at the tomb where she should have been all along." Stefan answers. "Why am I not in there with her?" She asks. "Because, you're our sister, so we decided to be more lenient, we'll give you a small dose of blood once a day, enough to keep you from suffocating but not to keep you strong." Stefan explains. 

"And Katherine? If she doesn't drink blood she will suffocate." Emily says. "I couldn't care less about Katherine. She's the reason you're here. Stop caring about her and we'll let you out." He tells her. 

"Katherine's my friend, I can't not care about her." Emily says. "Well, she doesn't seem to care about you much." Stefan comments. "She does." Emily shakes her head. "Believe whatever you want, Emily. Let me know if you decide to stop caring about her." Stefan glares at her and walks out leaving her there.
