March 30th 1868

As the carriage that was leading Elijah and the woman he loved so deeply finally arrived at it's destination Emily couldn't help but feel excited, after four years she was finally getting to see her brothers. The carriage stoped and Emily got out, not waiting for a second. Elijah chuckled. "Excited are we now?" He caught up with her and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"Where are they?" Emily asked, looking around for her brothers who she was dying to meet. "Follow me." Elijah grabbed her hand, leading her to a mansion. He knocked twice on the wooden door and waited for a bit before someone opened it. It was a man, he seemed like he was in his 20's but Emily knew better than to assume he was mortal. "Do you have the men I asked for?" Elijah asked.

The man nodded and let them in. "Follow me." He spoke, his tone was full of terror, which meant he most likely was one of the people that were on the run from Elijah and were trying to get their freedom. "Elijah." Another man spoke, he too seemed like he was in his 20's. "Tristan, thank you for the favor in such short notice.." Elijah turned to the man. "Who are the men?" He asked. "The brothers of the woman I have with me, Emily, this is Tristan de Martel, first of my sire line and also head of the Strix, an organisation full of vampires of the very same sire line I have created over the corpse of my life. Tristan this is Emily Salvatore, my girlfriend."

"Hello Emily." Tristan smiled and she nodded politely is response. "Follow me, I'll lead you to her brothers." He said and led them to a room in the first floor. The room was small, but carefully decorated, paintings hung on each wall, a white couch was placed at the center, a wooden coffee table was infront of it. Huge windows covered the wall they were facing. Damon and Stefan were tied up in two chairs. "I hope those are not vervain ropes." Elijah spoke, breaking the silence. "Of course not, should I untie them?" Tristan asked, Elijah looked over at Emily who nodded.

Tristan walked over to the two brothers who were facing the windows and still haven't seen their sister standing behind them. As Tristan untied them Damon turned around. All it took was one look before he ran to her hugging her. "How are you still alive?" He asked as Stefan saw her. "Emily?" He looked at her confused. "Alright, let's give them some time." Elijah turned to Tristan before they walked out.

"It's a long story." Emily sighed. "Go on then tell us." Stefan sat down at the couch. "Katherine saved me from dying. She took me in for a bit, but now she's in New York and I'm here." She explained. "And that is supposed to be a long story?" Damon chuckled. "Oh be quiet."  Emily chuckled while glaring at him playfully. Stefan laughed.

"Katherine is alive?" Damon asked. Emily nodded. "Why didn't she tell us?" He wondered. "Because she doesn't care about us Damon, she never did." Stefan stated. "That's not true." Damon argued. Stefan rolled his eyes and turned to his sister. "Why didn't you reach out earlier?" He asked. "I didn't know where you were, I learned how to do a locator spell but you were cloaked, I found out where you were a few days ago and Elijah arranged for us to meet."

"Who's Elijah?" Damon asked.

"My boyfriend." Emily replied.

"Boyfriend?" Stefan looked at her.

She nodded.

"So how have you been?" Damon asked. "Good, I've learnt how to do a lot of spells." Emily smiled. "How about you two?" She asked. "I've been fine, can't say the same about Stefan." Damon sighed. "Why?" She asked. "He has a blood addiction." Damon explained. "Once he feeds he cannot stop, we've moved ten times because of that, although now a girl is helping him control it."

"Well that is good." She smiled. Stefan nodded. Emily looked out the window. "The view is nice." She said. "Yeah, that's all we've been seeing for the past two days." Damon shrugged. "You've been tied up in here for two days?" She asked. Damon nodded. "Yup, we were thinking of escaping, thank god we didn't." He explained.
