47. The Fifth Hokage

3 months later.

Hiyori made her way towards the newly built Konoha HQ. There were a lot of lives lost in the war and so much damage. But slowly things were returning back to normal. After the war, Hiyori did the same thing Kazumi Otsutsuki once did to erase the memories of everyone. She used her Tensegan to erase the memories of any non- shinobi who was witness to the destructions of the war.

To everyone in the world, the destruction in Konoha was nothing more than a massive earthquake which took thousands of lives and caused severe property damage. Only those belonging to the shinobi world knew what actually happened. The secret was kept within the shinobi as it has always been. Hiyori was bedridden for almost a couple weeks after she used her eyes to erase people's memories and rewrite them at such a large scale.

A lot of things happened after the war. They came to know a lot of truth behind the deviants. Isamu surprisingly answered their questions. Isamu explained how deviants existed only to protect the chakra tree from falling into the hands of humans. Deviants' purpose 1000 years ago was to kill any human who seeked the chakra fruit for their own benefit. Isamu or Jyuubi was the main protector of the tree.

But things went downhill when Kaguya appeared. Deviants lost their purpose when Kaguya ate the chakra fruit. On top of that, she also captured Isamu and became his Jinchuriki which gave the deviants no choice but to obey Kaguya. But after Kaguya and Isamu were sealed away, the deviants went beserk and started to feed on humans.

The chakra tree that was once guarded by deviants are now present inside every single shinobi alive. No matter how you look at it, without Kaguya shinobi wouldnt have existed in this planet. Isamu also explained how Kaguya used Infinite Tsukuyomi to create an army of white Zetsus in addition to the deviants under her control.

Isamu stated that Kaguya was constantly preparing for a war as if someone might attack them at any moment. When Shinya and Hiyori heard that, they knew immediately what he was talking about. Their real fight isnt over yet. Kaguya's purpose for the visit to this planet was to drain it of its chakra and destroy earth. But Kaguya didnt do that. She instead fell in love with a human, had kids and failed to carry out her orders.

Haguromo and Hamura's father was a human but Kazumi's father was an Otsutsuki. Kaguya knew that she will be tracked down and attacked by her fellow Otsutsuki. So she was prepared to face them with an army of her own. She didnt care about any humans other than her own children. But what she didnt expect was her own children to go against her.

Each and every single descendant of Kazumi Otsutsuki knew that their real fight wasnt with the devaints. When Hiyori activated her Tensegan, the pair of siblings came to know the truth that they might be under attack by their ancestors soon. But they also had to deal with the enemy they had here. It was why Hiyori chose to become the Jyuubi's jinchuriki herself.

Both Hiyori and Shinya knew they cant keep this secret from the others forever. They had to know the real truth behind the Shinobi one day or the other. They waited for the right time to reveal the truth. So when Madara or more like Obito said the truth to everyone, Shinya didnt deny it. He accepted the fact that everyone needs to know the truth and came clean.

Speaking of Obito Uchiha, his life was spared by none other than Itachi Uchiha. Itachi convinced the other Uchihas to let him live and atone for his sins. Obito was kept in solitary confinement for the past 3 months. He also agreed to be of any help he can to help fight the real enemies which is the legitimate Otsutsuki clan.

"Yo!" Hiyori greeted as she entered the HQ main office. "Hey Inora.. I mean Hiyori. Man! Calling you Hiyori feels really weird." Naruto said rubbing his neck awkwardly since this was the 100th time he was calling her Inora instead of Hiyori.
