8. Memories

Just for the information, Shisui, Itachi and Sasuke all three of them have their Mangekyo Sharingan.

No matter how many they slayed, it keeps coming back. Something was not right. "I think there is an S class deviant somewhere around." Sasuke said while electrocuting a bunch of those creatures with his chidori. S class deviants are unique and unpredictable. Each one has its own unique abilities. They are difficult to locate and much more difficult to get rid of.

"They keep coming back to life no matter how many times we kill." Lee said panting heavily. "Amaterasu" Sasuke said burning a few of them with his black flames. He tried locating the S class deviant. Inora watched the seen unfold infront of her with wide eyes. She had no idea what was going on but she wanted to help them. She felt utterly useless standing there doing nothing. It doesnt take a genius to find out that they are in big trouble. She saw Sakura and Lee exhausted.

Sasuke was bleeding from his eyes after using his Mangekyo sharingan. Mina used her chakra to heel them as they fought. Inora couldnt shake off the feeling of someone or something watching them. She looked around and spotted a pair of golden eyes deep inside the forest. She felt herself drawn to it and walked towards it without thinking. The others were too engrossed in fighting the deviants to notice Inora gone.

It was Sasuke who noticed that the brunette was missing. "Shit!" He muttered releasing a chidori stream killing many at ones when someone joined them. Inora walked deep inside the forest and was met with a huge creature. It was the S class deviant. She couldnt stop herself from walking closer to it. Before she could go any further she was yanked back and carried by a pair of arms bridal style.

"Snap out of it Inora." She heard a familiar voice making her blink a couple times breaking her from the trance. "Mr. Uchiha?" She asked looking at the pair of black onyx eyes looking at her with concern. She noticed that they were on top of a tree branch while the huge creature growled loudly.

"Stay here." Itachi said gently placing her down on the branch while his black eyes turned crimson making her gasp. "Dont tell me you are gonna fight that thing." Inora exclaimed but he was gone in a flash before she could even complete her sentence. Inora clutched her head in pain thinking about how his black eyes turned crimson.

"Are you okay?" The man asked her. "Umm.. yeah.. i guess." She replied not understanding what the fuck she just saw.

She caught a small glimpse of his crimson eyes. She wanted to help him badly. She saw a kunai stuck on one of the creatured he killed. She took the chakra infused kunai and it was flowing with green gooey substance making her scrunch her nose in disgust.

"What the hell is this?" Inora whispered to herself clutching her head. "Are these my memories?" She exclaimed as another wave of pain hit her.

"Are you okay?" She asked looking at his arm. Itachi didnt even notice him bleeding. "Oh! I will be fine. You should get going." He replied. "What do you mean fine. You are freaking bleeding Mr." She said coming near him. She grabbed his bleeding arm and wrapped his wound in a handkerchief. "Make sure to use some antiseptic or it will get infected." She said surprising him.

"By the way what on earth are those ugly things?" She asked him trying to wake up her passed out room mate who had no clue of what was happening around her. Inora then felt a hand gently cupping her jaw making her look at the man. Her breath hitched when she saw his black eyes turn into crimson. "You will forget what you saw tonight." Itachi said staring at her chocolate orbs locking away her memomy of ever meeting him.

Her eyes widened as the memories came flowing back. Itachi saved her that day and more importantly she killed one of those ugly creatures an year ago. Inora was distracted by a loud noise and saw Itachi and Sasuke fighting that giant thing. Their movements were absolutely in sync but that giant monster was regenerating itself at record speed no matter the damage. "What the hell are we supposed to do?" Sasuke asked completely irritated. "Stay calm Sasuke. It must have a weak spot." Itachi said calmly.

Inora's eyes popped out of her socket as she saw Itachi running towards it head on. "STOP!" She screamed and the giant deviant freezed for a part second giving the Uchiha brothers the opening they needed. Inora watched in shock as they both killed that huge ugly thing making her sigh in relief. She sat on the branch with her back against the trunk trying to catch the breath she had no idea she was holding in.

In a sudden flash she saw Itachi infront of her again making her yelp in shock. "Its okay. Everything is taken care of. Are you hurt?" He asked softly. "No.. I.. I am fine.." she whispered. She then picked her again bridal style making her release a high pitched noise and clutched his shoulders for support. He then jumped down the tree like it was nothing and walked back to everyone. Inora noticed that all the creatures were dead. Those other creatures didnt come back as soon as the huge one was taken down.

"Inora! You okay?" Lee asked extremely worried as Itachi put her down. Inora just nodded as Mina gave her some water. "Are you sure this doesnt have anything to erase my memories of what I just witnessed?" Inora asked holding the water without drinking shocking everyone. She turned to Itachi pointing a finger at him. "You did something to me the last time this happened didnt you? I remember now." Inora said making Itachi freeze. There was no way she could remember it. It is almost impossible to unlock the memories he locked away with his sharingan. Did the danger trigger her to remember it?

"Inora.." Lee started. "Is this why you, Neji and Tenten always come up with a reason to ditch me?" She asked making him lower his head in guilt. "I must say, it was pretty cool to see you guys spit fire from your mouth." She said to the Uchiha brothers who was still in shock. "You have met her before?" Sasuke asked his brother while the elder briefly explained what happened.

"No way! How was she able to do that?" Sasuke asked in shock looking at the brunette who was talking with Lee and Mina. "It is not impossible but definitely uncommon. Even the strongest shinobi find it extremely difficult to do it. It takes extreme willpower." Itachi said still thinking about the brown haired woman. "What to do now?" Sasuke asked. "It failed once for me. So I cant do it again. You should take care of it." Itachi said to his younger brother making him nod in approval. "I think seeing your sharingan again probably triggered her memory." Sasuke commented his thoughts. "It might be a possibility." The elder replied.

"Inora" Sasuke called out the brunette and his crimson eyes swirled as soon as she turned to look at him. She fell unconscious the moment their eyes met and Lee caught her just in time. "What the..? That was extremely rude Sasuke." Mina said making the Uchiha roll his eyes. "She cant know about this. Its for her own safety." Sasuke stated and nobody argued further since they know it is true. "I will report to Lord Shinya about this. Get in the car. Lets go." Itachi said as they all made their way to Konoha.

Itachi sat in his bed after dropping everyone thinking about what happened. He coudnt help but feel suspicious about Inora. Something about her felt off. Is she a threat? Or was he overthinking things? He definitely didnt sense anything unusual from her. He is an Anbu, he was trained to think about all contingencies. Most shinobi have only killed deviants but that doesnt apply to the Anbu. The Anbu does all the dirty work from killing rogue ninjas to silencing the power hungry people trying to do experiments and gain powers from deviants.

Itachi cannot count the number of people he has killed in his life as a shinobi. He truly didnt want Inora to end up being on that list. But his shinobi instincts kept bugging him so he decided to do a background check on his secretary.
