"Cupcake!" I yell as I see his figure standing outside of our English classroom, waiting for me, no doubt.
I knew he didn't leave me for good!
He immediately shoves his phone in his pocket, eagerly accepting my hug as I fling myself into him.
"I missed you." I mumble into him.
"I missed you too, Princess." He says, giving me a tiny smile.
When we pull apart from our hug, I follow him into the classroom, my hand in his.
He leads me to the back of the room, sitting in what I assume is his normal seat. I take the seat right next to him, on his right side. While we sit down, a few students look back at us, along with the teacher.
Once I sit down I feel my desk being dragged over. The classroom is set up into five rows, each row one desk wide.
I feel my desk hit Kai's as he finishes dragging me closer, ruining the organized desks, making us the only pair in the entire room.
Students flood in until the room is full, they all look at us when they walk in. The bell rings quickly, telling me that class has started.
"Kai, Evangeline, can you please put the desks back where-" The teacher starts, she already knows my name! I haven't even introduced myself yet!
Kai doesn't let her finish, he just spits out, "No."
"Okay." She blinks. "Are you comfortable sitting that close to Mr. Matsushima, Evangeline?" She questions, she must have seen him drag my desk over to him.
"Of course!" I tell her. "My Cupcake could never make me uncomfortable." I add, looking over at him with a smile.
The teacher just gives me a weird look and puts on the movie that they apparently started yesterday.
As I watch the movie I use my colorful pens to color in the tattoos on Kai's right arm, filling in the black designs with some much needed color.
Cupcake doesn't pay attention to the movie at all, whereas I watch it while I color, I can't get in trouble!
My eyes watch the screen as the girl is on the phone with her parents, they are driving as she sits at home, waiting for them.
All of a sudden the car her parents are in slides on ice, crashing into another one, leaving the girl screaming for her parents on the other end.
Mama, Papa.
I drop the pen in my hand as tears fill my eyes.
I can't help but break into sobs.
Mama, Papa.
I know everyone is staring at me, but I don't even care, I just want Mama and Papa back.
It isn't fair. They should still be here.
I can feel myself get lifted from my seat, no doubt it is by Cupcake, I don't think before I wrap my arms around his neck.
I just hold him tightly and sob into him as he walks, I have no idea where we are until I am set down in the passenger seat of what I can only assume is his car.
He buckles me in, then closes my door, leaving me alone in the car.
He gets in the driver's seat, starting the car once he is.
We don't talk as he drives, my sobs are too loud and intense, but he offers me his hand, holding mine until he gets out of the car, picking me up once again, but this time leaving our bags in the car.
