It still fot perfectly, and when I stepped out of the changing room, my friends gasped.

"It's perfect!" Eve said baffled.

"She's right! Look at yourself. Shining like an emerald. Stunning!" Jimmy called out.

"But I can't spend that much money on a piece of clothing." I argued.

"Didn't you just offer doing exactly that for us? Yes. You did. Now pack that outfit!" Jimmy said loudly.

"Fine. But you don't tell Dandy what we got. I want this to be a surprise!" I exclaimed.

We bought the outfit and left.
Dandy was standing outside of his car, looking at his watch.

"Growing impatient?" I asked and laughed.

"Only one bag???" He asked bewildered.
"And it took you that long too???"

"It was difficult finding something fitting our wedding theme, okay?" I said, which wasn't entirely untrue.

"Any other complications I should know about?" He said and directed the question more at my friends that at me.

They looked at each other and then at me. "Just one. That one down the street. They were very rude to us." I finally said.

"Then we shall never go there again." He exclaimed theatrically.

We went to the freakshow and dropped Jimmy, Eve, and my outfit off.

"By the way. Do you want me to get a caterer, or do you want your family to be in charge of that?" Dandy asked before anyone could exit the car.

"Well, I would like to ask Ethel to make our cake. The rest, you can arrange if you want to." I said with a soft smile.

"I'm sure Ethel will be delighted." Eve said.

"Ma makes the best cakes! I'll ask her for you if you want." Jimmy said with glee.

"Oh, it's fine. I think I should ask her myself." I said, and opened my door.

Together, we exited the car. Eve took my bag, and Jimmy and I went to Ethel's trailor.
I knocked lightly, and the door opened.

"Hi Ethel." I said hesitantly.

"Hello y/n. How can I help you?" She asked and stepped outside of her little home.

"I wanted to ask you if you would be interested in making my wedding cake. You know I've always adored your cooking and baking." I said shyly.

"I was afraid you'd never ask. I will make you and that rich kid the best cake y'all ever tasted!" She yelled and hugged me.

"Oh, thank you, Ethel. I can not thank you enough!" I said, but she hushed me, and we said our goodbyes.

"I meant to ask you, y/n." She paused. "Are you happy with him? I mean, happier than you were here?"

"Oh, Ethel. You know I love all of you, but it's true. I am happy. But I honestly don't know if I'm happier than I was here." My answer wasn't what she wanted. But it was the truth.

"Mhm. At least you're as honest as we raised you." She laughed. "What about the rest? Do we need to cook for a hundred people?" She asked with a grin.

"No. Don't worry about that. The only thing y'all have to prepare is the decorations. Make it special, like always." I said with a smile.

"Consider it done." She answered with a matching smile.
