I made my way out to the lone telephone and called Dandy.
We agreed that he'd get me once I was far enough away from the freakshow in order to avoid any further disputes.

It was cold and dark. And for the first time in a long while... I felt scared. And maybe even alone. But I'm not too sure about that.

It didn't take long for Dandy to notice me and slow down.
"Are you alright, love?" He asked and brushed my cheek with his warm hand.

"Yes. Just please get us home." I said and let myself fall against the somewhat soft  carseat.

He looked somewhat concerned but didn't push it any further. Other than that, the ride was quiet.
When we arrived at the mansion, it was quiet. No lights, no music. Just silence.
We went upstairs and went to bed.

I woke up every now and then but continued resting once I felt Dandy was still next to me. I was so afraid he would just vanish or simply stop existing, even though that was very unlikely.

The sun was shining gently on us when I woke up in Dandy's arms. We stayed like that for half an eternity until he woke up.
The comfort of his arms left me as he stretched and got out of bed. Promptly starting his day, as if nothing had happened.
But something did happen. Something that couldn't be ignored.

"Dandy." I said slowly.

"Good morning, y/n." He said with a soft smile and continued his routine.

"We have to talk." I said and got up.

"About what exactly, dear?" He asked and came over to give me a kiss on the forehead.

"They want to rat you out. Get you looked up, never to be seen or heard of ever again!" I said as tears started making their way down my cheeks.

"Don't fret, dear. The police are something poor people have to worry about. I am above the law." He said and hugged me.

"Then they'll deal with you on their own terms." I said, sobbing quietly into him.

"Do you honestly think they would be able to even do so much as lay a finger on me?" He said and laughed.

"Dandy! You really don't understand." I said frustrated.

"No. You don't understand y/n. Don't underestimate me." He said but suddenly turned serious. "No one can stop me. I am a god among these mortal peasants." He said as he went to like into the mirror.
