"Thank you. It was delicious, Dora." I said as she took my empty plate.

"You're very welcome." She smiled and walked into the kitchen.

"You know she's the maid. That's literally her job. You don't have to thank her for that." Dandy sighed.

"Of course I have to thank her. It shows my appreciation. You could do it too, you know. Maybe that would help you be kinder." I said quietly.

"Do you even hear yourself y/n? Kinder to someone below myself? Why would I ever do that. She works for us. She should appreciate me for letting mother pay her." He laughed

"Dandy! I can't believe it. Are you really so egocentric? She's done nothing but care for you, and you paint her like the some sort of demon. Just because you're rich doesn't mean you get to treat people like they owe you something." I said angrily.

"Pff. You sound ridiculous. I won't have any more of it." He said and whiped his mouth with a napkin.

"Fine. Then you'll have to excuse me. I don't want to talk to you right now. I have to think about all the horrible things you just said." I explained and went to my room before he could protest.

It took him quite a while until he came to my room. And once he did, he was mad.

"I don't understand why you are behaving this way. I haven't done anything to upset you." He complained.

"That is where you are wrong. You treat people who you "deem below you" or "not worthy of your time" like the dirt beneath your feet, if not worse." I explained, but he still didn't seem to understand what was wrong with that.
"That upsets me. I wish for you to respect others like you respect me... you do respect me, right dandy?" I asked, suddenly usure of my position in his whole play.

"Y/n. You have to understand that I am above normal. I am a god. Above law. No, I am law. Why should someone like me. Have to lower my standards for a bunch of nobodies?" He asked fairly, confused.

For a while, I just stood there. I couldn't even form any words or thoughts. I mean, how was I to react to such a bold statement?

Dandy laughed at me, finding my dumbfoundedness to be rather amusing.
Then he walked over to me and kissed my forehead.

"Of course I respect you. You are a royal among peasants. Don't forget your place, my angel." He cooed.
