March 1928

It was a rather lazy afternoon at first Monday of the month at Hampton, mostly because of The Fellowship being rather exhausted after their rugby practice.

After washing up and changing into their school attire, the group lazily slumped down on their seats as they waited for history professor—which was thankfully their last class for the day.

A knock on their room door was then heard, prompting all of the boys to immediately fix their features and stand up from their seats. But instead of their professor, the new school guard appeared and was holding a letter.

"For Master Alexander Crawley...?" the guard then inquired.

All of the class looked at Alex, who was a bit surprised upon hearing his name. "That would be me, sir." he said, standing up from his seat.

"You have a letter." the guard then said as Alex walk up to him "And they said it is rather important."

"Oh dear." the young Viscount replied, a worried expression painted over his face "Thank you very much."

As the guard left, Alex went back to his seat and read the back of the envelope:

The Most Hon. Marquess of Hexham
Brancaster Castle, Northumberland, England

Master Alexander Crawley
Hampton Grammar School,
Upper Sunbury Road, England

"What's that?" Alfie then inquired from beside him.

"A letter from Bertie..." Alex replied

"I wonder what is this about." Alfie then followed up.

Alex chuckles tiredly, and sighs "Well, we're about to find out."

He then opened the envelope and finally saw the letter, which bear the Pelham Family Crest at the header:

This afternoon at 2.45 o'clock, the Marchioness of Hexham has safely delivered of a son; at Brancaster Castle, Northumberland, England on this day, the 5th of March, of this year, 1928.

The Marquess of Hexham was present at the birth. Both the mother and the child are healthy and well.

It took Alex quite a while to finally react to the message.

"YEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!"

Little did he know, his professor has already entered the room.

"And what is the cause of this noise, Master Crawley?" the professor's deep voice boomed across the room, which startled the young Viscount.

"S-Sir!" Alex then managed to say, immediately standing still and hiding the letter behind his back "I-I apologize sir, I didn't notice you have entered already."

"As I have seen." the professor replied "But surely whatever that is you are excited about, it can after our class. Am I right?"

"Y-Yes, sir."

"Good. Now, everyone sit down and turn your books to page 359."
