No, please don't leave me.

No...

Stay with me, please...

...please, we have more time.

No, no, no,

No, please...

"NO!!!!!"

Alex shouted has he bolted up in his bed, sweating and shaking as he tries he tries to make sense of his surroundings. He then tries to catch his breath, clutching his chest as he felt his heart pounding, as if it wanted to get out of his body at once.

He snapped back to reality as he was startled by the knock on his bedroom door.

"Come in." he then said, to which the door revealed the person he needed at the moment.

"Mama."

"Alex, I heard you scream from downstairs!" Cora said as she carefully wipes his sweat and fixes his hair "Are you alright? What happened to you?"

"Just a nightmare." Alex replied weakly, taking deep and slow breaths as she calms him down.

"Is it still the same?"

"Y-Yes. But it's getting worse."

"Oh, my Little Prince." Cora hugs him close, rubbing his back as he slowly calmed down in her arms "It's alright, my darling. We're here, and we're all alright."

"All right." Alex said softly, to which his mother nods in agreement. Cora then gently runs to her son's dark brown curls, which somehow made him comfortable and safer.

"Shall I ring for Andy for you to change now?" she then inquired, and felt him nod under her embrace.

Cora slowly pulled away from their hug, and rang for Andy as she sat down beside her son.

"Mama," the young Viscount then said "How do you make a nightmare stop?"

Cora sighs softly, looking sorry at him "I do not know, Alex." she answered "I don't think there is a way of stopping nightmares."

"Oh."

"But...I think there is one way, but it is only temporary."

"What is it?"

"Well, just be happy."

Alex looks at her, puzzled "Just...be happy?"

"Yes." Cora smiles at him "I am happy because my husband is still beside me when I wake up every day. Happy because I still get to see you greet me every morning after your bike rides, and your sisters whenever I am downstairs or visit. Happy because I still get to play with my grandchildren, and work on something that I love: helping our community. I am happy...because I still get to do all those things, and seeing that they are all right."

"Wow." he then said, stunned at what he heard "No wonder why you're always a ray of sunshine."

The Countess chuckles softly "Thank you." she smiles "But my point is, that you should be happy, because we're all still here with you. We're all right and well, and nothing bad is going to happen."

Alex then slowly smiles "Nothing bad is going to happen." he repeated to himself.

"Yes. All will be well, my Little Prince. Don't you worry about it."

The two then shared a light laugh, before hearing the door open and with it revealing Andy, who was a bit surprised at seeing the Countess in the room.

"You rang, milady?" the valet asked.
