The next thing that Alex knew, that he was already on his way to Downton. Being sleepy for most of the day, he wasn't aware that were on the way until they were almost there.

"Are you sure you're alright, Alex?" he then heard to mother say as she gently touched his forehead.

"Yes, Mama." Alex smiles softly "I'm just really sleepy still."

"Did you bring your medicine?"

"Yes, I did."

"And did you eat enough before we go?"

The Viscount chuckles softly "Yes Mama, you were with me at breakfast."

Cora then chuckles along softly, and gently cups his sleepy face "I'm just worried, that's all. Perhaps you could catch up with some more sleep before you and your Auntie head out."

"That's exactly what I'm about to say." he smiles "And yes, I will immediately sleep right after greeting the family."

Cora smiles back at her son, and plants a kiss on her forehead as their car carefully park in front of their beloved home.

"Why on Earth are you in such a hurry, Robert?" Violet Crawley asked as she saw her son running fast down the stairs like an excited child.

"My wife is back Mama, how can I not be excited by that?" Robert smiled happily at her.

"Your sister is too, you know."

"Oh, I know. But my wife's more important to me than her."

Violet sighs softly and shakes her head, still secretly in awe of how his son still loves his wife after all these years. She then takes Andy's arm, which the latter was proffering minutes ago, and following the Earl out in the front of the House.

"Cora, darling!! You're finally here!" the Earl of Grantham said excitedly as he saw his wife come out of the car with Mister Stark's assistance.

"Robert!" Cora returned the happy smiles, as well as the kiss from her husband as he hugs her close

"Good Lord, please get a room!" Robert then heard another male voice, to which only then he notices his son, smiling quite weakly at him.

"Alex? You're here too?"

"No, I am speaking to you from heaven."

Robert rolls his eyes, before laughing lightly and pulling his son into a hug "I miss you too, dearest boy."

"Don't you miss us too?"

He then saw his two lovely daughters as they just got out of the car and approaching them.

"Of course!" Robert said, opening his arms to them "I missed all of you. Very much."

"Hello, Mama." Rosamund then said as she approaches her mother. Violet smiles in return and kisses her cheek "How are you?"

"I am quite well, thank you for asking." Violet replied "And you?"

"Quite well, thank you."

Rosamund then turns to his brother, smiling happily as he was reunited with the rest of his children "Seems like your son has lit up again after a while." she then said again to her mother as they went ahead inside the House. 

"Believe me, he has been counting down to this day, wanting to see Cora again, more than anyone else." Violet said.

"Guess you can't really keep them away for very long, don't you?"
