MARCY'S P.O.V.

I couldn't stop myself from excitedly bouncing in the plane seat as it began to land. You couldn't blame me; I was going to finally see Anne and Sasha again! After 10 whole, complete years of not being together, we finally will be! I even have my own present for Anne. It's her birthday, henceforth I'm coming to visit. Well, at least, that's what Sasha thinks. Anne doesn't know I'm visiting, and Sasha thinks I'm staying for around a week. Originally, I was going to stay just a week. However, this changed when I remembered that I was my own boss - since I work on WebComics for a living, and surprisingly make money from this - and that I can technically work from anywhere. I had decided that I wanted to move back to LA to hang out with Anne and Sasha (and maybe even share an apartment with them). As soon as the plane finished landing, I messaged Sasha that I had arrived and was getting my bags.

As I stepped out of the airport, the first thing I saw was someone getting out of a bright red car. "SASH- OUP-" In my excitement, I ran towards her, but ended up falling face-first into the pavement. She snickered and held a hand out for me. "Need help up, Wu?" I felt my face heat up for reasons I'm unsure of. I hurriedly got up and giggled, "I'M OKAY-" Sasha seemed to smile a bit at this, causing me to smile as well. "Okay nerd, get in the car," Sash said as she got in on the driver's side. "I'm not a nerd!" I replied. I pouted as she began driving away from the airport.

The car ride to the aquarium wasn't long. Surprisingly, it was somewhat close to the airport. Plus, Sasha and I had some time to catch up. Long story short, I asked about her job, she asked about mine, then I asked about Anne. I was surprised when she told me they fell apart in high school. However, I could understand. It would make sense anyways; they have very different personalities.

As we pulled into the aquarium's parking lot, I found myself nervous. What if she changed? What if over time she's started to hate me? Or maybe she forgot I existed altogether or- "Marcy? You good?" Sasha knocked me out of my trance. I sighed and nodded a bit. "Yeah, just- nervous..." Upon hearing this, Sasha cocked her head to the side a bit, asking "About what?" I shrugged in response. "I don't know- I guess it's just been that long-..." I sighed, "it's fine, I'm sure it'll be better when we actually see her-" Sasha gave a small smile and nodded, stepping out of the car. I waited for a second more, then followed her out, and then into the building.

The first thing I noticed when we walked into the aquarium was Anne. She looked to be teaching some kids. Even from the entrance, I could hear her say something about Sprig. I smiled fondly; I'm glad her whole experience in Amphibia wasn't all that bad. I saw her putting a pink frog - I'm guessing she named him Sprig - back into the exhibit. I noticed she looked into the glass before she turned around. That's where I'm guessing she noticed Sashsa and I (because she had turned around after looking in it). I waved, purposely over-exaggerated, and Sasha smiled widely.

Anne looked to be processing this before she smiled too and ran toward us. "GUYS!!" Before either of us had the chance to respond, Anne pulled us into a big hug. I snickered and hugged back. "Hey Anne! Surprise!!~" I said in a sing-song voice. I couldn't help but let a few tears fall; it had been so long since I'd seen Anne. I think Anne did too, but I couldn't completely tell. Maybe it was Sasha, or the both of them.

"Happy birthday!" I giggled as the hug broke and I handed Anne a gift bag. "Marcy- you didn't have to, really-" I cut Anne off, "I insist- it's been a while and I do have 9 other birthdays I missed." With a small sigh and smile, she grabbed the small gift bag. I was excited but also nervous; I had gotten her some of her favorite candies from high school and hand-drew her a picture of her, Sasha, me, the Plantars, Grime, King Andrias, Olivia, and Yunan. Behind the picture was a happy birthday note that also said I was moving back to LA with them. I was just hoping they'd be happy rather than anything else. I'm not sure how they'll take it.

I saw Anne grabbing the picture (which was in an envelope for fewer rips or tears) first. "Wait- do that one last-" She raised a brow but skipped it as I asked. I watched as she took out the candy bar; it was a Thai culture candy bar that I'm not sure how to pronounce. She looked it over, seemingly in awe. "Mars you didn't-" I interrupted her, "I did, Anna Banana! Do you like it?" Nodding aggressively, Anne immediately opened it and started eating it. I could practically see the enjoyment in her eyes.

I saw her going for the envelope now. I could tell she was curious as she inspected the envelope before carefully opening it. I nervously watched as she pulled the folded paper out of it. "Look at the drawing first, it'll build more suspense," I said as I did little jazz hands to further prove my point. Sasha began to peek over Anne's shoulder. I'm guessing she was as curious as Anne was. Anne carefully unfolded the paper, looking at the drawing. I snickered slightly, "I know it's still sketchy-looking, but I made it on short notice so I didn't have the time to fully outline everything and finalize it all, or add color. I hope you don't mind-" I was nervously blushing in embarrassment; I wasn't sure how she'd react to this, but it was definitely better than I expected.

"Marcy- it looks great! And the fact that you were able to get it to look so good, even on short notice? Amazing!" Anne replied, Sasha adding, "Yeah, you're pretty talented Mars," ruffling my hair a bit. I found myself smiling and giggling; I missed having my two best friends around like this. I hope this is what it's like when I finalize the move back. I'm not exactly sure where I'll go, maybe an apartment near the two (or even better, with them), but I hope wherever it is, we get to hang out often.

I was broken out of my happy trance by Anne gasping. I had figured she read the back by now. "Surprise!!~" I said in a sing-song voice, "yo girl Marcy ain't leavin' you guys again that easily!" Before anyone was able to respond, Sasha picked me up and twirled me around. Anne was having a mini-party by herself. I couldn't help but laugh. I think I'm blushing. For what? I don't know. But this wonderful feeling won't go, and maybe that's a good thing. I missed Anne and Sasha so much. I'm glad I can finally be back with them. However, I can't help but feel a bit saddened. Although I'm happy and content with what's happening right now, I wish we could be back in Amphibia and be able to see the family tropes, but that's impossible. Right?

A/N - Hey! First of all I want to thank you for reading this. I'm making it for fun on my school computer and decided that I could post it on Wattpad as well. I'm making this with a friend but they don't have a phone so- big thanks to them!! Just a heads up, I'll probably have slow updates because me and my friend are a grade apart meaning we don't usually get much time to talk besides band class and lunch. However, when I do update I'll probably try to give an A/N on how the story's doing!

I'm gonna end that there, I hope everyone has a good day!!
