Let It Be Me ~ Steve Mcgarrett

Seven.

She woke up late hung over she was late to work. She had ten missed call's from her brother. Steve called her at least five times and Grace called four times she crawled out of bed shutting her phone off none of them were about work besides Charlie's text telling her he wasn't mad at her which was good for her so she decided to have a self care day. She ran a bath for self today was her day and no one was going to ruin that.

McKenna's Pov:
I walked down the streets of Hawaii. I've been ignoring everyone today I wasn't in the mood. Yeah I understand we never made it official I know we never talked about our feelings. But that kiss it was like it told a million of stories. Today was a me day and nothing was going to ruin that I just got my hair done and I was on my way back to my house. I turned down the street for some odd reason I had a weird feeling in my gut as I got closer to my house I noticed my door was open. I titled my head a bit in confusion I slowly made my way up the steps someone was ripping through the house.

I went to grab my phone but a gun clicked behind me "Don't you do it" I froze in place "Okay I'm sorry" I slowly moved my hands away from my bag. "Inside now" he shoved me I stumbled a bit pushing the door open "Look who I found wondering around" he turned around he smirked at me "well he'll beautiful. Detective Williams never said he had a beautiful lady in his life" I glared at him he walked up to me I went to walk backwards but my back hit a wall "What do you want?" I asked he waved his hands a bit

"Oh wouldn't you love to know, round her up boys I don't want a mark on her that's my job when we get home" I grabbed a frame off the bottom shelf smashing it over his head taking off towards the stairs I pulled my phone out dialing his number "McGarrett" he answered I slammed my bedroom door shut they ran up the stairs quickly "Steve help. There are men in the house I-I don't know what they want." I panicked my heart started to race
"Woah Woah slow down Kenna what?" He asked I yelped once they keep pounding on the door I shoved everything off my dresser and pushed it in front of the door "THERE ARE PEOPLE IN MY HOUSE STEVEN!" I yelled in  panic "okay okay calm down where are you in the house danny and I are on the way" he said I heard quick movements on the other side

Gun shots went off I covered my mouth crying into my hand "I don't know they were ripping apart Danny's room and living room. I ran straight to my room hurry" I cried out the door club open I ran slamming my bathroom door shut locking it I opened all the drawers I couldn't find anything but a rattail comb. "Put danny on" I asked I held the comb in my hand placing the phone on speaker and setting it on the counter "Kenna listen me and Steve along with the others are on our way." He said over the phone I took a deep breath holding the comb right

"Do me a favor will you?" I asked him the door wiggled hard "Yes anything what do you need?" He asked I prepared my self for what's about to come. "Don't let Grace forget about me alright? And Steve, make sure he will be happy and Danny I love you" the door kicked open they rushed up I used the comb stabbing him in the stomach I ran off but got grabbed up "KENNA!" I heard the voice scream before it was cut off

Steve's Pov:
"KENNA!" He yelled in the phone I heard beeping he threw the phone at the dashboard I pressed down harder on the gas cat sunk into the seat's at that moment I didn't even care about Cat it was all about McKenna. I grew feelings for Danny's sister that night we kissed. That moment everything changed all my feelings about her completely turned into something I've never felt. It's always been her she helped me when I needed it and she didn't know it  

We pulled up at Danny's I flew out the truck running towards the house with Danny leaving her back at the car. "Kenna!" I called out shoving the door open more I skimmed the room with Danny and now chin and Lou along with Kono behind us "Kenna!" Kono called out walking upstairs I stayed on the main level "Clear" I called out soon the house was all cleared "Boss you may want to see this" Kono called out from upstairs we jogged up stairs there was a man laying on the floor with a rat tail comb sticking out his chest "See I knew them combs were dangerous but noo she insisted they weren't" I sighed deeply looking around her room

"Well glad you allowed her to buy that because if she didn't have that if not it would of been a lot worse for her now let's get a photo of her out everywhere even TSA. Danny come here" we walked over to the body he looked down at the man "Do you know this man?" Steve asked I studied his face for a moment then it clicked "I booked him the night Kenna and I were out to dinner. That was in New Jersey a few years ago. Why are they coming after me now?" He asked me I sighed deeply looking around the room. "I don't know but they have McKenna so we need to figure something out" I walked out the room to figure this all out to find McKenna she didn't deserve to go through something like this. I walked right past cat totally forgetting she was with us "Cat" I turned she shook her head shoving her hand's in her pocket.

"You know after seeing your facial expressions change once you heard she was in danger and how you automatically forgot I was even alive showed me a lot. I'm not mad I just should of figured this was going to happen" I sighed looking down at the ground "Look Cath- No Steve it's alright trust me. She's cute and she makes you happy. Now let's find her so you can be with her" she said smiling softly I pulled her into a tight hug from there we went off to hunt down McKenna.
