After the abduction from Nick her life changed completely for her. She is still fighting for peace what he did to her will never leave her mind. What went down in that dark cold room will haunt her. But when ever he comes around that all disappears he did not break her but she is suffering for peace and she chooses him to help.

McKenna's Pov:

I sat on my step's with my arm in a sling Steve and Kamekona came over to help fix the house danny was out in a father daughter date with Grace today I told him to go out spend the day with Grace I will be fine. It took a lot of convincing to finally get them to leave the house. "You know I think this is the first time I've ever seen you not in cargo pants" he stood there holding the board and turned looking at me. "Alright Little Danny" I gasped flipping him the bird he laughed to himself "rude" he laughed shaking his head "How is the arm?" Kamekona asked I looked over at him "It's alright, hey do you think you can go get me my medicine? It's in the kitchen top shelf he nodded his head standing up walking out the room.

I got up off the stairs walking up to the ladder looking up at him. "Hey" I called out Steve looked down from the ladder "I never got to thank you for what you and cat did, I know that was a lot for you to do and take in when you went back in there.." I scratched the back of my neck a bit "What I'm trying to say is thank you for rescuing me. If you didn't come or know where I was at I'd probably would of died out there" he slowly climbed down the ladder setting the wood down. "What makes you think that?" He asked taking his gloves off setting them on the table "I don't know i probably would of tried to attack him to make my life end quicker everything he did inside that room haunts me Steve.. I can't forget about it." I looked down at the floor sniffling. His hands softly touched my face lifting my head to look up at him.

"Listen to me, whatever he did to you in that building is now in the past you are a survivor you are strong and powerful don't let anyone change that about you got it?" His thumbs ran across my cheeks softly "Let it be me" I asked him he raised his eyebrow confused I sighed deeply. "The one you choose please let it be me.. I forget everything bad that has ever happened to me when your around me. Your touch I feel like I'm untouchable to anyone that wants to hurt me" he smirked a little to him self "Okay don't get too cocky you ass, Anyways Steve if it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't be standing here with cuts and scrapes and a dislocated shoulder" his thumb softly ran across my cheek.

"It was always going to be you, it just finally kicked me in the ass when you were abducted I wanted to come and rescue you and kill who ever and I mean who ever got in my way to have you in my arms again" he smiled softly down at me "Alright I got the medicine sista do you want water tea pop?" Kamekona asked walking into the room Steve sighed stepping back. I grabbed him by his tank top pulling him back I stood on my tip toes "Not today Bond" I pulled him down kissing him softly he smiled in the kiss softly wrapping his arms around me. "Oh sorry I'll be home the medicine is on the table" Kamekona said I felt Steve's hand wave him off I giggled a little I wrapped my hood arm around his neck the kiss deepened. He pulled away panting trying to catch his breath. "It is getting kinda late. Let's get these cuts cleaned up and switch to a bandage so you can sleep better." He walked away

-Bed-

I sat on the bathroom sink with my shirt off I felt embarrassed I keep my head down not looking in the mirror in front of me till Steve walked in with the first aid kit. "Hey why the long face?" He asked unhooking the sling from my neck he slowly took it off. "The scars and cuts are embarrassing" he placed his finger under my chin and holding my chin with his thumb making me look up at him. "These cuts tell a beautiful story be proud to be able to tell someone what they are about when you get to be a old lady" I grabbed a towel hitting him with it. He laughed a little "Hey it made you smile though. Alright come on let's get these fixed up." He opened the first air kit grabbing some cleaner bandages I watched him change and clean the cuts.

His fingers softly grazed my skin as he was ace wrapping my shoulder. "Too tight?" he asked I shook my head he cleaned everything up I slowly slid the top back on the ace wrap did wonders I was able to move at least a tad bit better then the sling. "So you graduated next month right?" He asked I nodded my head we walked into the bedroom he jumped onto my bed. "You know when Danny comes home he's going to be mad and your sleeping in bed with me" he grabbed me and pulled me onto the bed I yelled out laughing he pulled me into his side pulling the covers over us. "Well he's going to have to suck it up for now on because I'm never leaving this bed ever again now that your in it with me" he held onto me snuggling into my side I rolled over grabbing the medicine he brought from down stairs I got to remember to thank Kamekona when I see him next time. I took the meds and rolled back into his side maybe tonight I actually for once won't have a bad dream
