A/N: Sorry for the stupidly slow update. I have so much going on right now lol.

Taehyun stood in the doorway to Beomgyu's small dorm while the boy packed up most of his belongings. He had a duffel bag and a few empty boxes that he stuffed full of items, and Taehyun watched him curiously.

Maybe it was his need to do things quickly since he was a busy college student, but his way of packing everything was incredibly unorganized. Everything was just being thrown into the boxes, and Taehyun was sure he heard glass almost shatter at some point.

"Okay, all don-"

"Woah, who are you?"

Taehyun turned around and saw a guy standing behind him. "Who are you?" He asked.

"Soobin!" Beomgyu ran past Taehyun to hug him. "Sorry, I've been too busy to answer any messages. And I don't have my phone on me right now."

Soobin looked back and forth between them, confused at the disguises both of them were wearing. "Who's this?"

Beomgyu looked back at Taehyun and the cop just shook his friend's hand. "I'm an officer here to escort Beomgyu. You heard about what happened yesterday, right?" Soobin nodded sadly. "Protective measures will be put in place everywhere on campus. Since Beomgyu was close to the victim, he needs to be under strict government watch. He'll be back at school next week. You'll see me here with him too."

That last comment surprised Beomgyu. For some reason, he didn't think Taehyun would watch him at school.

It's literally where the crime happened, Beomgyu.

Taehyun let the two of them talk for a few minutes before they headed out, putting the boxes and the bag in the trunk of his car.

"Is that one of the friends that you wanna have over?" Taehyun asked while driving away. Beomgyu nodded. "He seems nice."

"He is..."

Noticing that his mood changed to upset for some reason, Taehyun connected his phone to the car when they stopped at a red light. "Here. Pick the music." Beomgyu looked down at the phone in his hand and quietly typed in "BTS". When it started playing, Taehyun chuckled. "You like BTS? Good to know."

He turned up 'Mic Drop' and continued driving. He never really got into BTS, but he's heard some of their songs, this being one of them. "Why is it good to know?"

"Just so I can know your interests. Getting to know each other is pretty important."

Beomgyu nodded in understanding and stared out the window as they drove. Seeing the city put a negative taste in his mouth. The thought that this gang had been terrorizing the city enough for the budget for the protection program to be so high was terrifying. Not only that, but Beomgyu had never heard of them before.

Were they that good at hiding everything?

It's no wonder they had to protect anyone who witnessed the crimes. Now, Beomgyu just wondered why they wanted everything to be a secret in the first place. Maybe Taehyun would know.

"Why don't they want anyone seeing their crimes?" He asked. "Black Reaper, I mean. If they're a gang who is committing crimes for a reason, then wouldn't they want people to know?"

"That's a good question. The reason why they keep their crimes secretive isn't because of the crime itself though. They don't want any of their members to be seen and remembered by anyone. Because you saw them, you're being protected now. They go after witnesses almost as much as the people they were originally assigned to murder in the first place."
