☂Calum☂
I was scared to walk into my house, after being gone the whole night with Ashton.
I knew I was bound to get into some sort of trouble, so I was surprised with the amount silence my home was engulfed in. The sound of a pin dropping could be heard, as I made my way up the staircase.
My mom must've gotten in late last night, and was simply too tired to check on me.
I sighed in relief, as I opened my bedroom door.
Even though I wanted Ashton to give me a ride to school, I was too afraid of my mom catching us. So, I told him I that I was supposed to walk to school with Luke, which wasn't a lie.
He asked no questions, simply nodding at me understandingly, though I was so easy to read, he probably knew exactly what was on my mind.
I didn't have much time to get ready, before Luke would be knocking on my door.
I quickly hopped in the shower, and dried off, only stopping to run my fingers over the purple bruise on my neck. I tilted my head, looking in the foggy mirror of the bathroom, to get a better view of the massive mark.
Goosebumps formed on my arms, just thinking about Ashton sucking on the spot again. I shook off the thoughts, now is not the time Calum.
I decided that the only way to hide the mark was to borrow a scarf from my sister, because I was not going to wear a fucking turtleneck to school.
I settled on a black scarf, because all of the other scarves she owned were of obscure colors.
I threw on a sweater and skinny jeans, carefully wrapping the scarf fabric around my neck. It did its job in covering the blemish, but it made me look strange.
Though, at least it wasn't going to draw as much attention as a hickey would.
Just as I finished styling my hair, I heard a knock on the door. I grabbed my backpack, along with a Poptart, and made my way towards the front door.
I hoped the knocking didn't wake my mom, because usually Luke would text me when he was here, but since I didn't have my phone, that was impossible.
I wanted to tell him everything that happened last night, but Luke wasn't exactly a morning person. He wouldn't show much reaction, and today he looked especially tired.
We usually settled on a comfortable silence as we made our way to the school, only talking if needed.
We arrived just as the first bell rang, and Luke wasted no time in getting to class, giving me a quick "Bye" before speed walking down the halls.
I wondered why he was in such a hurry, we had plenty of time to get to class, and we usually walked together, because our classes were so close.
Walking alone made me realize how nervous I was for chemistry, I didn't want to be made fun of for yesterday.
I gulped as I entered the room.
Nobody seemed to notice me, luckily, as I slid myself into the chair at my desk. Ashton had yet to arrive, which was typical for him.
I felt a shrill of excitement wash over me, and I perked up in my seat just thinking about him. I smiled to myself, hoping I didn't look creepy.
I couldn't help smiling, he made me feel happy inside. I just wanted the feeling of his arms wrapped around me again, because honestly, that was the best feeling in the world.
I felt as though all of my overthinking, and guilt was washed away when I was with him.
Class went on as normal, nobody saying a word to me about yesterday. I waited for Ashton to come bustling in late, but that never happened.
I was beginning to become worried, but stopped myself. I barely knew him, and it was none of my business where he was.
It wasn't like we were dating.
Though, the thought of dating made me feel more alert than i've ever been in this boring class.
The bell for second period rang, pulling me out of my thoughts. I grabbed my backpack, and made my way to door of the classroom.
"I'll see you after school Mr. Hood." My teacher glanced at me, as I walked by her.
"Um, yes, i'll be here." I replied, remembering that I had to make up the test I missed yesterday.
I did not want to stay after school, but my mom would kill me if I didn't.
As I walked outside I was met with a smiling Luke.
"Dude, you scared me!" I said, gripping my heart.
"Oops, sorry. We have a sub in gym today, so you know what the means." He announced.
"No way!" I smiled, because that meant, as lame as it sounds, that Luke and I could hide in the locker room without being yelled at.
"I'm not lying, i'll see you next period." He said, before turning into his second period classroom.
My classroom was at the end of the hallway, so I quickly made my way down the hall.
Of course I ended up bumping into someone.
"S-sorry." I mumbled, looking up at the red haired guy I bumped into.
"It's fine." The red haired guy replied, quickly glancing at me.
I think I found the guy that Luke was talking about earlier.
I swallowed, and continued hurriedly down the hall to my class.
A/N: okay, this story is literally almost done. sorry if it seems to be dragging out. i just don't want it to end, but at the same time, i do want it to end. i have a sequel, that already has three chapters ready, oops. so, just a warning, this'll probably only 2-3 more chapters. anyway, hey mikey made a cameo. also, where the hell is ashton? thanks for reading, voting, and commenting! :-)
