☂Calum☂

Was I shocked to see Ashton waiting for me outside of the school?

Yes, though I was becoming accustomed to his surprises.

My thoughts remained clear of him, for the whole hour I took my test, but now everything was flooding back.

"Need a ride?" I heard him shout, because he was standing a pretty lengthy distance away.

He was leaning on the hood of his car, with his arms crossed and a smile on his face, looking at me.

I remained standing at the entrance of the school, frozen in my position.

The thought of him waiting outside for me in the cold, caused me to break out of my momentary trance.

"Did you wait for me?" I finally shouted back in reply, not answering his question.

His usual confident grin turned into a shy smile, before opening his mouth to reply.

"Yes, now hurry up before I have to wait longer." He shouted, answering my question.

I took in a deep breath, and exhaled through my nose. My legs began moving in Ashton's direction, before my brain fully processed what was going on.

He opened the passenger seats door for me, and I mumbled a quiet "thanks" before entering the car.

He simply smirked in response, causing me to swallow thickly.

Cautiously, he slammed my door shut, and made his way around the front of the car to the drivers seat.

He had the car already warmed up, and I became thankful that I didn't have to walk home in the cold.

"It's fucking freezing, how do you walk home everyday?" He said, after opening the door and getting into the car.

"Um, it's actually not that bad." I lied, feeling my checks burn.

It actually sucked for Luke and I, but I didn't want him to feel sorry for me.

"Well, you won't be walking anymore." He said, placing the gearshift into drive.

"What do you mean?" I asked curiously, scrunching my eyebrows together.

"I'll be escorting you to and from school now." He said casually, driving out of the schools parking lot.

My eyes lit up, and I smiled big at him.

"Really?" I breathed out.

Even with the excitement, I didn't know how I was going to break the news to Luke. I hated walking alone, and I knew he hated it as well.

Ashton looked at me from the corner of his eye, pulling his bottom lip between his teeth.

"You should always smile like that, it somehow makes you more adorable than you already are." He said, quickly glancing at me again.

His complements will be the death of me, but this time I decided to send him one right back.

"Your smile...is like sunshine." I said, wincing at how lame that sounded.

I tried and I failed, i'll never be doing that again.

His glorious laugh echoed throughout the car, and all I wanted to do was hide. I slumped into my seat, my face red with embarrassment.

"Sunshine, huh? Thank you, i've never heard that one before." He said.

I could almost hear the cheeky grin he had on his face.

"J-just pretend I didn't say that." I mumbled, slumping deeper into my seat.

"Aw, Calum it was cute." He explained.

I groaned in response.

"Where are we going?" I said, changing the subject.

He chuckled, causing me to peek over at him.

"Have you ever been ice skating?" He asked me.
