☂Calum☂

As I entered the woods, I turned around to see if Luke was still there, but he was gone.

He was probably running to his second period class, so he wouldn't be late.

I shivered, and wrapped my hands around my arms, rubbing them vigorously. It was fucking freezing.

I knew I wasn't going to die of hypothermia, walking the short distance to my house, but it was still cold.

The fact that I felt like actual shit, made things worse. I just wanted to go home, put on my pajamas, and watch Christmas movies until my eyes bled tinsel.

"Aren't you cold?" A voice spoke up from behind me.

I jumped, gripping my heart. "Shit, you can't ju-!" I stopped talking, when I turned around to see who it was.

He was holding a cigarette between his fingers, and a lighter in the other. "Didn't mean to scare you, just saw you shivering, and wondered why you didn't have a jacket on." He laughed, before placing the cigarette between his lips, and lighting it.

My heart felt like it was going to bang out of my chest. What the hell was Ashton Irwin, of all people, doing here?

This was probably my worst nightmare, my mind went blank searching for an explanation.

I was even contemplating running into the depths of the forest, but I was unable to move.

The heat of embarrassment began to rise onto my face, as well as a look of terror.

"Speechless? I'm known to do that to most people." He let out cheekily, blowing smoke into the air.

I gulped in some air, and replied, "No, no, no." I let out while fiddling with the hem of my shirt nervously.

"You just kinda...came out of nowhere, and it scared me. Sorry, I'm going to um g-go." Dammit, how much more awkward can I be.

I looked up to see him chuckling, watching me intently.

He looked warm in his black peacoat, and scarf. Though, I could see his band t-shirt poking out at the top.

He merely chuckled. "I was starting to enjoy your company, I barely see anyone in these woods now-a-days." He frowned, but I knew he was joking.

"You want a puff?" He asked referring to his lit cigarette.

"Um...I don't smoke." I said while shivering, and wrapping my hands around my arms tighter.

"Suit yourself." He said while tossing the cigarette on the ground, and stepping on it.

"Oh...Well I-I have to go, I'm not feeling well, so I'm going home." I conjured out.

Please don't say anything else, just let me forget this ever happened.

"How about I drive you? I can't let you freeze out here." He joked.

Damn his fucking smile, and his fucking dimples.

Why did he have to speak? I felt the panic in my gut. I wanted to go home, but of course Ashton had to come out of nowhere.

"Seriously, I'm fine. I'll just be on my way." I said a little too sassily, while turning around to start my walk back home again.

I began to walk, but was stopped by a tree root, catching on my foot, causing me to fall face first into the dirt.

Ouch.
