Dumb;Dead;Blank;Numb
That's exactly what sultana is feeling at the moment. She Scratched her body, feeling confused and paranoid. Scared of what people may say if she steps out;She ran to the bathroom to empty all the contents in her stomach and rushed back to the room and cuddled herself in the duvet;even though the room is cold at almost 16 degrees Celsius, sweat is dripping from her body.
It's almost morning, she can view the sun from her bed.
She's been in the same position for so long as she can't remember. Thanking nature for her being on her period, she started last month and apparently t he doctors didn't do as she asked years back instead injected her based on her mother's request and it wore off. Story for another day.
she's sure she's stained now but that wasn't at all on the list of things she's worried about.
She's sad, angry, hurt. Her emotions were all over the place. Tears long exhausted from falling, she held her heart. She wanted to scream but she can't,her voice long gone from constant cries.
She watched through the slight space on her blends. The sun is fully out and now she's scared, she wanted to run out at night but she couldn't even move a limb.
Her mother came in without a knock.
"You should come down for breakfast."
Gently she moved herself, pushing herself into the bathroom without a word.
There's nothing she can do about the situation so she decided to face it however it comes. This is her sin and it's haunting her.
She took a long shower, changed into a comfortable dress and went down with the little confidence she have.
That little confidence got crushed the moment she saw Qalb with her parents sitting in the parlor, all gloomy.
"Go and eat and meet me outside."
Qalb instructed.
Without a word, she walked to the kitchen meeting Sultan on one of the chairs attached to the kitchen island.
"Hey.."
He looked up from his phone and looked at her.
"How are you?" He said passing a plate containing noodles eggs and shredded chicken and a cup of tea.
Dead...she wanted to say but muttered 'I'm fine.'
She started picking the food but curiosity got the best of her when her mother entered so she pushed the plate and turned to her mother.
"Sultana." Her mother said with a cracked voice.
"Oh Sultana, what have you done to your life?"
Without another word she knelt in front of her mother crying, her mother followed suit,as the my hugged each other crying their eye balls out.
"You all should come to my parlor except you Sultana,Qalb is waiting for you outside." Her father's stern voice came through.
She could swear the bones in her legs have melted because she fell down almost twice before she even reached the door.
She almost ran back when she opened his car door but braced herself and sat down inside.
Silence...for a few minutes that seemed like house.
"Nora, who is blackcat?"
He asked calmly, staring deep into her soul.
"Nora who is black cat?"
He asked again.
