A week passed, Sultana's wound have healed completely and now she drives pleasure from listening to her family discussing about everything and nothing. Her mother in law makes the best soups and cakes and so far her favorites are the carrots and chicken soup and milkcake. Anwar was right, seeing the world through the eyes of your loved ones is like learning a whole new perspective of life. Now she lives with the fact that she is not alone."Anwar was a very stubborn kid ae, don't let me get started about how he would pray almost thirty raka'ats during zuhr prayer just because he doesn't want to eat food." Hajiya Aisha Sambo, Amma, Anwar's mother said.
Everyone from both families was around. The fathers sat next to each other on the two seater while Anwar's mother sits on the stool beside Sultana's bed feeding her the soup she got. Sultana's mother on the other hand keeps moving around, packing with the help of the triplets and Aneesa. From what the doctor said, she is going to be discharged today but a nurse will be visiting everyday to check up on her and administer her injections. Sultan left to ensure Sultana's room is in other while Anwar just stood by the door staring at them all.
"What a beautiful family we have in here." The doctor said walking in. She exchanged pleasantries with everyone then proceeds to work on the discharge papers.
"Okay Sultana, i wish you a very quick and complete recovery. You are lucky to have such a family and most especially you husband, he was literally on my neck when i said we need to keep you for one more day." She jokes and they all laughed.
With the help of her mother-in-law, Sultana got off the bed. She quickly changed into a free gown and a veil that drapes over her shoulders. Still with the cannula on her hand, she sat beside her father and placed her head on his shoulder.
"Babyn Baba. You good?"
"Yes Baba, i just want to get out of this hospital."
He let out a chuckle and wrapped his arm around her shoulders."Let's go."
Both families have discussed over the house in which Sultana will stay and they arrived at the conclusion that she needs to heal completely and adjust to the fact that Anwar is her husband but till then, she will be staying at her father's house.
In a convoy of four cars and two security cars, they all left to Alhaji Mubarak Gamawa's Mansion.
You know that gush of emotions you get when you finally get home after a long while? Sultana closed her eyes as she entered through the main door reminiscing the beautiful scent. They all walk through her father's parlor. Sultan ran out of the door linking to their mother's parlor with plates in his hands.
"You guys are here already?"
He dropped the plates and placed his hands on his waist.
"Okay my dearest parents, and my fellow siblings please come after me." They all followed, laughing and talking.
"Not you guys! Anwar and his wife." Sultan said with a raised eyebrow.
"Sultan, that was not necessary, it should be Sultana and her husband or just say our names." Sultana said with her mouth agape.
"It was! Now if you two will excuse me, i have something to do. i will call you in." He walked away and closed the door.
Sultana pinched the bridge of her nose and seats on one of the couches.
"Do you ever hate someone and love them at the same time?" She asked Anwar who has been quiet. His eyes tired from everything, work, the hospital and traveling.
Life has just been a bit chaotic for him lately. His focus slightly drifting. To say he is happy that his wife has been discharged is an understatement. Luckily, his father gave him a month break, handing over most of the work to his cousin Nameer and other trusted workers.
