Chapter 16

blurry night,

NIKI'S POV

There are days I wish I had never met him, and some days I wish I met him sooner. Today was some of those days. He is like a forbidden feeling I tried so hard to look away but it keeps resurfacing anyway. I can't help it.

It's 12 am and he is still not in the room. A habit of him which I dislike the most. He used to be at room before me but after he started spending more time with other members, he is rarely at room. Sometimes he is only there to sleep. He is always somewhere with the members and I am always alone in the room.

When he is there in the room for only few minutes and doesn't even acknowledge my presence, I hate him. But the minute I looked at his eyes, my anger vanishes and these need to see him happy thoughts comes in my mind.

I was playing an online game in my mobile all alone waiting for him and my mother kept calling me but I rejected few of her calls as I was in between very important game.

But she was calling again, so I picked up her call as I lost the game due to getting distracted by her constant calls.

"Hi, Little boy." I heard my mothering saying and unlike me she sounds so cheerful at midnight.

"Why are you even awake at such odd hours?' I asked without replying to her greetings.

"I am at hospital right now. I just finished my night round." She said and I could hear the machines beeping and sound of people rushing around her.

"Oh, . I said in a low voice and I tried playing another game while talking to her.

"Is everything ok? Why do you sound so low?" She asked.

"I am just bored. I have nothing to do and my room looks so big these days." I babbled without thinking.

"Why are you bore at midnight? You always complain about having not enough time to sleep but when you get time to sleep, you are saying that you are bored. " My mother said frantically.

"Where is Sunoo?" She asked when I was silent through all her talks.

"He is always with the other members. He doesn't spend much time in our room." I said and I heard my mother chuckling.

"So that's your real concern? Not seeing Sunoo much in your room." She asked and I heard a teasing tone in her voice.

"No, I am more than glad to see him spending more time with people around him. He is sleeping well, eating good as well. That's better for him." I said nonchalantly.

"He is looking better these days. I saw few clips of your group's new music videos and he looks genuinely happy there." My mother said.

"Anyway your sister told me that you will be getting ten days of vacation after our comeback. So, what's your plan? Are you coming to Japan to meet me and your sister or are you going to help your father there?" My mother asked and I can hear her munching something.

"I have not decided about that yet. I have to talk with other members. If they are going to stay here in the dorm, I will stay here too." I said softly trying not to make her upset.

"Other members are from South Korea. So obviously they will decide to spend their vacation in their country but your second hometown is Japan, even though you are born and raised in Korea."

"I hardly get chance to come there because of my work and Minji is still in school. So it's hard for us to take a long vacation. Your father visit us every weekend. But you never do." She said in a low voice.
