Chapter Three: Training with Skye

The next day Skye woke up full of energy to start training and was happy because she could spend time with Chase and also watch him try his hand at his greatest passion, which was dancing.

After breakfast Zuma and Skye consulted about training, Zuma decided to stay on the lookout to train with Marshall and Rocky, while Skye would train with Chase.

"Hey, Chase are you ready for the training?" Skye said.

"Hey Skye, you are beautiful today," Chase said admiring Skye.

"Aww, thanks Chase," Skye said appreciating the compliment.

"However, yes I'm ready to go with you."

"Then follow me, we should walk," Skye said, starting to walk.

"Where we are going?" Chase asked following Skye.

"You will find out as soon as we are there." She replied.

Chase and Skye walked side by side and crossed Adventure Bay, each passer-by congratulating Skye on being chosen for the championship. 

"Congratulations Skye!" The town florist said to Skye as the two walked past his shop.

"Look Grandpa, Skye is walking near our shop!" Alex said excited.

"Hey Skye, congratulation on your victory at the selections!" Mr. Porters said greeting the pup.

"Thanks Mr. Porter, thanks, Alex." She replied, keep walking.

"They seem to have a lot of confidence in you to win the league," Chase said proud of her.

"Yes, and I will try not to disappoint them," Skye replied.

Chase and Skye walked until they found themselves in front of the woods. Chase had even more questions than he had since they left, but he decided to trust Skye.
The two crossed the woods, and during their journey, they met various wild animals, some types of trees such as oaks and conifers and many bushes rich in wild berries that birds ate every day.

As they walked, Chase noticed that the sun's rays reflected on Skye's fur making her look like gold. 

Chase realized again, that she was the dearest person he had, he liked her from the first moment he met her, her laughter was contagious and it was music to him, his eyes captivated him like his flying skills. But the thing that he preferred in her was her sweet and understandable character and also her courage.

But every time he thought of her, Chase's fear always returned, and each time he tried to take control.

Skye's POV:

Chase and I were walking along a dirt path through a forest, I like this place because it is relaxing and reminded me of where I came from. I turned to Chase to see if he was following me but as soon as I turned my head he looked up and tried to hide his blush.

I don't know for sure if he likes me, but over the years he and I have been very close. When I am with him, I feel various emotions that are indescribable but I know they are related to the immense love I feel for him.

But I know that this feeling is fading, and Everest's words echo in my head as if they want to take over. Currently, I don't know what to think, I'm finding myself in a situation where I love Chase, but I don't love him like I used to, but more like a friend.  

Narrator's POV:

Time has passed since the two had entered the woods and Chase began to wonder how much she was missing and where she was taking him.

"Skye, how far is it?" Chase asked feeling pain in the paws.

"Don't worry Chase, we're arrived," Skye said passing through two bushes.
