Chase's POV:

I am in my pup house, lying on the ground, watching the darkness that surrounds me. The darkness of my pup house has accompanied me in many moments of my life.

When I was younger, during sudden storms, I woke up inside my pup house, and frightened I curled up in a corner whining because I feared that the storm could hurt me.
Or for example, when I was sad or angry with Ryder I would hide inside my pumphouse and stay there until Ryder came in front of it, sat down, and started talking to me to try to make peace.

But in all this, darkness has played a central role. When I was little I realized that the darkness was not something to be afraid of, but it was a friend because it enveloped me and made me feel safe.

But now that I'm older and more mature, the darkness helps me relax and think because when I can't sleep and I can't go outside to go to the tree, I stay in my pup house staring at the black void.

On this long night I focused on thinking about the Pup Pup Boogie League, I reasoned with myself about how difficult the games could be, as the matches I saw seemed impossible for me.

The commitment that Skye has entrusted to me is great for me and requires great skill and endurance. Currently, I don't know if I can prepare well, and if I can beat the players I have to challenge.
But I also know that the League is very important to her and to all the people in Adventure Bay, so I will have to give it my all and try not to disappoint them. Winning the League could also be a chance to tell Skye how I feel about her.

After all these years of seeing Skye as my crush, I now realize I can't wait any longer. Thinking of her reminds me how over time I fell in love with her, and always saw her as an angel. She is wonderful in all her aspects, and seeing her dance makes my heartbeat.

It is precisely the heart that must beat the mind and have the strength to open itself to the sweetest heart I have ever seen, but the mind is too strong and even frightened to be defeated by the heart.
The mind is frightened by a fear that has formed since Skye was in danger and I am Ryder we saved her, but from that moment like a wave, my fear took control of my mind and, when I tried to open up to Skye, she took over and prevented me numerous times from taking my step.

The day I told Ryder about my fear, he got so worried that he even took me to a psychologist to try to cure me, but it didn't work. The psychologist said that to get rid of this fear I had to solve the conflict I had in me, that is, my love problem.

After my deep reflection, sleep hit me hard and I fell asleep.

Narrator's POV:

After breakfast, Chase was called by Zuma who was waiting for him in the mission room.
The German Shepherd understood why and began to sweat because Zuma was very strong at Pup Pup Boogie, and he did not know that he would never beat him even though they were rivals in this game.

Every time they clash in Pup Pup Boogie, the game becomes very competitive but in the end, Zuma always wins. The thing that worries Chase is that he and Zuma usually play for fun, but now they play to train and so it will be even harder to beat him.

Once there, Chase reached Zuma and noticed that the mission room had been transformed into a training ground, and also lying on a puff was Skye, eager to see her student put all his teachings into practice.

"Hello Chase, and welcome to your new training room," Zuma said.

"Woah, this is amazing!" Chase said amazed by the work of the pups. "You did this all for me?"

"Yes, your training is important for us," Skye said.

"So, you are ready to start the training session?" Zuma asked excitedly.
