Chapter 40

"I'm suffocating." Was the first thing I said when I opened my eyes the next morning. It was hot, Yeji's arms were around me and I was sweating.

I slipped out of his grip and rolled to the opposite side of the bed, almost falling.

"Why is it so hot in here?"

"Are you sure it's not just me?" Yeji asked arrogantly, her morning voice making me scream inside.

But I rolled my eyes and rubbed them, getting out of bed.

"I'm sure. The sun is blinding me." I said and closed the curtains.

"What time is it?"

"Look for yourself."

She groaned and I looked at her as she rolled to the left side and pressed the button on her iPhone.

"It's almost half a day."

"Why do we always sleep late?" I asked.

"Because I'm a big hugger." She said and smiled, sitting up as she stretched.

"Not to mention modest." I muttered and she laughed, standing up, following me out of the room to the bathroom down the hall.

We washed our faces and brushed our teeth and after she pretended to bend me over the sink and fuck me, we walked back.

"I noticed you're starting to get along better with your mother." I told her as we got dressed.

She shrugged her shoulders.

"She's pregnant, I guess I have to be nice. What time do you have to be home today?" She asked me as we walked down to the kitchen.

"Around five o'clock? I don't know."

"Do you want to go to the beach today?"

"With who?"

"With me?"

"Just you?"

"Yeah? I thought that's how relationships are supposed to work, you know we date, but it's just the two of us. Unless you want a threesome, which I wouldn't mind at all." She finished the sentence with a smile on her lips and I decided to play along.

"Fine."

"What?" She asked me, stopping abruptly in front of the living room entrance.

"I wouldn't mind having someone else in our relationship."

"What? Like who?"

"Like Beomgyu."

She gave me a frowning look.

"This is a joke, right?"

I let out a snort and nodded.

"Of course it is."

She dramatically pretended to be relieved.

"I mean, Jake is definitely sexier." I said smiling at her.

"Shut up."

We found Seulgi and Mark in the kitchen eating lunch.

"Oh good morning, darlings!" She said smiling and I smiled back, sitting down next to Yeji. "What would you ladies like to eat? Do we have pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon...?"

I asked for two pancakes and Yeji decided to eat two of everything.

"Yeji... Mark and I were just talking and we're going to have dinner this Friday."

"So?" Yeji shrugged without looking up from her plate.

"We were wondering if you wanted to come."

I realized Seulgi was a little hesitant to ask her about it.
