Not your typical romance

Who could this be

Sasha's POV. (Age 4)
I was at my family cottage with my family: Mom, Dad, and younger brother. I love going to my cottage but there's no one my age there. Only family. So it gets really boring because I like to stay busy. We stay at the cottage for like 3 weeks at once.
It was a nice summers day. My brother and I were playing outside in the sand at the front of the cottage. All of a sudden we hear branches snapping and twigs breaking from a distance. We both decide to ignore it, until it gets louder. We look in the direction of the noise and I see a girl who looks like a 7 year old and a boy who is around my age.

I'm confused at first. I've never seen them before. The girl approaches me and says " hi my name is Susan and this is my brother Jake, we have a cottage just down that hill"
She pointed down the hill which was covered by trees, leaves and bushes or plants. My parents told me that the hill was off limits because of the poison ivy that grew around the area. I never thought to look down the hill though.

"Hi I'm Sasha" I say nervously "and this is Matt"
Jake approaches Matt slowly " hi there buddy! You're so cute" Matt sits there because he is only 1. But he smiles.
"Do you want to play together?" Susan asks. "Ok" I say cautiously.

Narrators POV
After many hours of playing together the children become the best of friends. They met each others parents and they chatted for a while as well. Forgetting they just met that morning they act as if they've known each other for their entire lives. For the next 3 weeks they spend the summer together playing games, talking, swimming, and having fun.
Little did Sasha realize it but she had blossoming feelings towards Jake. She just didn't know it yet.

When the time came to say goodbye they promise to see each other the next year.

And they did.
