Summer flings

Sasha's POV age 10

I wake up nicely. The sun shining down on my face through the window. I look around the room forgetting where I was. And then it hits me. Its summer! And Im back at my cottage. I look over at my clock 10:00 AM. "Omagosh" I say. I should go see the Wood's and the Bank's. Thinking back to last night we got here really late so we didn't get to see any of them.  But that's okay we still have 3 weeks with them. After I ate breakfast and got changed I ran down the hill not bothering to wait for Matt who trailed behind me. We first ran to the Wood's house expecting Susan and Jake to be there.

We politely knocked on the door trying to contain our excitement. When the door opened Susan and Jakes grandparents were there and welcomed us. But they told us that Susan and Jake weren't coming for another 3 days. They were still in New Jersey!!! Matt and I thanked them and went next door to the Banks house.

We knocked on their door too. Bob opened the door and welcomed us in. Typically, Brandon is sleeping on the couch and Robin is playing video games. Matt goes over to the couch and starts to jump on Brandon to wake him up. Meanwhile I go over to Robin. Both seem not to know that we are here. They're both too distracted in their own little worlds.

"Hey" I said semi sneaking up behind her. She looks to see me and drops the remote to hug me.
"Ive missed you so much, its not been the same here without you" Even though she was only about 4 months younger than me she was a grade below mine. She was going to grade 5 while I was going to grade 6. And despite our age difference she was taller than I was. I asked "can I join your match?" She was playing super smash brothers on the Nintendo 64 again. We played for a while. At home I had got a Wii and Super Smash Brothers was one of the disks we owned. So I was getting pretty good.

After we went to the beach. Today there were HUGE waves because it was so windy. If only Susan and Jake were here, they love these wavy days but they always seemed to miss them. We spend hours on the beach relaxing, swimming, and playing sports.

The rest of the day we hung out, barely leaving each others sides

" Hey guys, I think we should take a trip to town" Said Robins dad.

I'd never been to the town area, for all I know theres the cottage and thats it. 

"Awesome sounds like fun!" Brandon chipped in. 

If he wanted to go then I was definitely going too. I ran up the hill to my parents and asked if I could go, they said yes but said Matt couldn't go because he was too young. So I ran back down the hill and I jumped into their red mini-van. Brandon hopped in right beside me in the backseat.

 Looking out the window there were a lot of trees and open lands with cows and crops. We passed by the drive in which wasn't on because it was still the afternoon. Bob explained that we were first going to the library, and then we can go for ice cream. The entire was Brandon played on his DS I looked over every now and then because i didn't have one of my own.

"I'm playing Pokémon"

I looked down at the cute animal on screen and saw his name

"Why is his name '(^-^)'?" I asked

"I dont really know, most of my Pokémon are just funny faces like that" He smiled and continued to play the game.

We arrived at the library, but we didn't do much. The main reason why we were here is so they could use the free Wi-Fi since there's no internet connection back at the cottages. After about 30 minutes everyone had finished on what they had to do ad we went back in the car.

"Next stop ICE CREAM" Robin said while swaying her hands in the air,  not that it was obvious or something but it seemed like she loved ice cream *Obvious sarcasm is obvious*

"Hey Dad, can I have a threesome?" Robin asked

Bob looked back at her with question. Brandon and I looked at each other with disbelief and a lot of confusion. And we both blushed furiously

"What do you mean Robin?" Bob asked

"Duh what do you think it means? Can I have 3 scoops of ice cream on my cone?"

A wave of relief washed over everyone in the car, luckily Robin had no idea what she had just said.

"I think 2 scoops is plenty, so what flavour do you guys like best?"

Robin screamed on the top of her lungs "STRAWBERRY IS THE BEST"

"I like Rocky Road," Brandon said

"Whats Rocky Road?" I asked curiously, I'd never heard of that flavour before

"It's a chocolate, walnut and marshmallow ball of ice cream goodness" 

"Oh, I'm allergic to Walnuts, although it sounds really good, my personal favorite is any type of chocolate flavor, brownie, double chocolate, triple chocolate I'm pretty much a chocolate fanatic." I said.

We arrived at the parlor and Robin acted like a jumping bean, she was the first to the counter to make sure she got her order in first. I ordered my double chocolate brownie ice cream and Brandon asked for a mint chocolate chip.

On the way back I had almost finished my ice cream and I looked over at Brandon who was munching away on his. 

"Why didn't you get the Rocky Road flavour?"

"Well, I wouldn't want you to die if I ate it now would I, not risking that chance" as he winked at me

"So do you want a bite?" He asked.

I shrugged why not, he handed me the cone and I took a small bite. It was good!  Robin was happily devouring her own pink mountain of goodness. There was still a 25 minute drive ahead of us so I closed my eyes and fell asleep.....

I can feel the movement of the car stopping and it gently wakes me up. I look around my neck kind of hurt from being in a weird position. And I suddenly realized why, I had been resting my head on Brandon's shoulder during the car ride. He was also asleep but was leaning on the window. I shook him awake gently, he looked at me groggily and said 

"Are we there yet?"

I just laughed, we got out of the car and I thanked the Banks for taking me there and paying for everything. I said goodbye and headed up to the cottage where I could fall asleep on an actual pillow, though its not the same as Brandons shoulder.
