Sasha's POV (age 8)
This year is different. Susan emailed me before we came to the cottage. Attached to that email was a 20 page script. A script for a movie were going to be acting out!!!!!
I am so excited. I love acting. It's so much fun to feel the emotions of the person your playing and to take over the role becoming one with your character. Of course ours is going to be very make shift and not good quality. But it will be fun and we will screen it to family and friends at the end.Everyone will be in it.
The script is about time travel when my "sister"(played by Susan) and I go into the future by accident and get chased down by the "time keeper" who controls time. It sounds fun. And Susan and I are the main characters.
We started filming the 1983 part. We were playing hide and seek when we find a hourglass and tilt it upside down then get sucked into a sink hole thy takes us to present time.
That scene was fun because in order to act out the falling we needed to roll down a tarp placed on a hill. And let me tell you. Susan and I both got bumps and bruises. We meet Brandon, Robin, and Jake at the beach and they help us get home before the gate keeper catches us.At one point Brandon was saying his line but a butterfly landed on his face and wouldn't move. We all burst into laughter and we thought it was the funniest thing ever. He just stood there and was like "guys, help please" so I swatted the butterfly away gently and he said "thanks"
We showed out parents and they said it was good. Next year is supposed to be sword fighting! With lots of choreography. Unfortunately filming takes up a lot more time then we thought. We got to do less this year.
After filming one day we went the beach again. We usually go everyday. So we were entering the bone-chilling water and near the shallow water was a small rock only enough for one of us to stand on. "Race you there" Susan yelled; and we ran.
Susan made it there first and stood up on the rock but Brandon pushed her off and stood up himself, but Jake pushed him off and he stood on the rock. Then Susan pushed him off, stood up herself but slipped. I thought "here's my chance" so I got up carefully and I stood up. I was cold but i felt proud. All of a sudden a motion caught me off guard and my balance shifted. I felt my feet sweeping up above me and into the air. And my head almost collided with the rock! I closed my eyes and braced myself or impact. But nothing happened... I slowly opened my eyes and saw a pair of emerald eyes looking at me. I blinked and managed to see that Brandon had caught me before I could whack my head. He had me in his arms. He put me down in the water and asked " wow, are you ok" and I just said "yea I'm fine, you have really good reflexes" he gave me a gorgeous smile.
"So what actually happened" I asked still confused. Susan came around the rock "OMG are you ok?! I'm so sorry, Jake and I got really carried away, we were just caught up in the moment and we pushed you" I looked around. "Where's Jake?" I asked. "Oh he felt really bad and is over there" I see Jake going towards shore. "He's going to dry off because he almost hurt you and he doesn't want you to get mad at him" Susan continues.Robin comes in the water a little later and we swim farther out together just jumping around and getting rocks.
We spend the rest of the day together playing board games and relaxing.I still can't believe that Brandon held me in his arms and saved my life all just today. <3
