Sasha's POV ( age 5)
Susan and Jake were here this year again! We went swimming off of this rock that is really big at the beach. We like to call it triangle rock because its shaped like one. Some days it is really wavy and we try to stay on the rock while the waves try to push us off. It's really fun. We just get some scrapes. We hang onto the edge and if a really big wave comes all 3 of us get knocked off. Jake is really funny as well. He sometimes jumps off the rock. He is also really good at soccer!
We build sand castles together while Susan looks for feathers and shells to decorate them. We always have such a great time at the beach. I really hope this never ends. In the night time we invite them over for a big bon-fire. We make s'mores and swing on the swing set that's on our land. Then we play tag until its time to go to bed. Jake is really nice. I think I may like him. We have a lot in common and he's just really funny. Even though he's 1 year older than me.
The next day I was sitting on my pink towel at the beach with Susan. The sun was so bright. Susan asked me "hey Sasha, so do you like Jake?" I was astonished how did she know???? Was it that obvious? I played it cool "ummmm just a little but not really" she replied with "oh ok that's cute"

Later that day

Susan was inside our cottage and I couldn't find Jake. Oh well probably with Matt. We sat and chatted for a bit when she said "hey Sasha could you go over there" she pointed to a door in the basement. I said "uh, ok" so I walked over and into the room. It was an empty washroom. Susan quickly closed the door behind me. I was so confused. Until I saw Jake... He was just standing in the corner and he looked quite shy. He came up slowly to me. And kissed me on the cheek. Then he ran out the door. I stood there in shock. And confusion. Just taking in what had just happened...
