Sasha (age 10)

Susan and Jake finally arrived, and just like always we were so excited to see them. We talked on their porch about what we would do this summer to make it the best one ever. Susan eyes flashed which meant she had an idea. She ran inside the house leaving Jake and I alone, but within a few short minutes she was out again with a huge smile on her face.

"Guys I have an idea!" She exclaimed "We should have a camping adventure!"

" That sounds great" Jake piped up.

"What sounds great?" Brandon asked as he emerged from his cottage with Robin. "I think I heard the words camping?"

Susan and Jake smiled knowing that Brandon and Robin would love to join us. I joined the conversation "Yea, camping sounds great...but how? Does anyone have a tent? I know I have sleeping bags but do you guys?"

We all looked at one another. It seemed like everyone had a sleeping bag and Susan spoke up saying that she and Jake had a tent in storage.
We agreed to meet behind Susan's and Jake's cottage at around 9:00 right when the sun would be going down.

After eating dinner I ran down the hill with my sleeping bag, pillow and my IPod. With each step I got more and more excited. What would we do? What games will we play? Will we stay up all night? I ran up to Susan who was waiting with the rest of the gang, all ready with their sleeping bags. I walked up to Robin.
"Aren't you excited?" She asked.
"Very" I replied "We haven't done anything like this before"
Jake popped out of nowhere
"ARE YOU GUYS READY TO PARTAY!?!?" He screamed into the air while flailing his arms everywhere.
Susan laughed at her younger brother and patted him on the head.
We walked together as a group to the back of the cottage. Brandon and Jake entered first and settled their stuff on the left side of the tent. Then Robin, Susan and I settled in of the right side. After everyone put their sleeping bags down and fluffed their pillows we organised ourselves into a small circle to talk. Susan and Jake shared new stuff about their life in New Jersey and talked about funny things that happened in class with their New Jersey friends. Brandon and Robin talked about videogames and played on their IPods. I shared funny stories that happened at school with Rocky and Richard. I looked over at Brandon, he's not paying much attention to us but rather playing on his IPod. I slide over to him to see what he's playing.
"Whatcha playing?" I ask curiously.
"Tasty Planet, wanna try? I can't beat this level, I keep dying" he says while offering me his IPod.
I take it and try the level. He watches me move my character across the screen as I easily beat the level.
"Hey, thanks you did it" he says while smiling at me "I knew you could, you're pretty good at video games" I felt my cheeks warm up. Hopefully no one saw.

"Okay everyone, gather round were gonna play a group game" Susan announced while signaling us to move closer.
"We're gonna play a game called 'Kiss or clothes' we go around the circle daring someone to kiss a weird part on someone else. If you don't you have to take off a piece of clothing. Rules... I think it's the obvious, no private parts. Here's an example Jake I dare you to kiss Brandon's big toe"
"Okay" he says and Brandon sticks out his toe for Jake to kiss
"Ok this is weird..JAKE DON'T LICK MY TOE!!"
Jake laughed and rolled on his back laughing
"Ok Sasha your turn who are you daring?" Susan said
"Hmmm okay. Robin I dare you to kiss Susan's ear" and the game continued... weird body parts like kneecaps, elbows, armpits, fingers, and bellybutton were kissed. Some people lost socks after not wanting to kiss the bottom of Brandon's foot. But only because it seems like he hasn't cleaned them in a while. It was mostly just laughing and saying "eww gross."

Susan gave me a mischievous glare as it was her turn. I felt my stomach churn knowing he was going to do something. "Sasha" She said while smiling "I dare you to kiss Brandon on the lips"
I deadpanned at her. Then I looked at Brandon and he seemed just as uncomfortable as me. I looked back at Susan and said "no thanks" as I took off my sock. After my turn I thought things would go back to normal but Robin looked at me and smiled and said
"Sasha I dare you to kiss Jake on the lips" I looked at her and asked "Why always me?"
"Because we're related so we can't cuz that'd be weird" Susan said

I didn't want to kiss Brandon or Jake not in front of everyone here.
I shook my head and took off my other sock. Susan looked disapointed yet confused. Susan leaned over to me
"I thought you liked Brandon and I know you used to like Jake, why didn't you do it?" She whispered

"First off I don't like either of them" I lied "Secondly even if I did I wouldn't want to kiss them in front of you guys."

We kept playing until my eyelids felt droopy. Robin had already fallen asleep and everyone else was looking pretty tired.

"Let's call it a night" I suggested
There was a mutual agreement in mumbles and groans and we all passed out.

The next morning I woke up to some music. I looked around still groggy and saw Brandon on his IPod playing a game
"Mornin" he said
"Morning" I replied checking my IPod
"9:30? Wow aren't you up a little early?" I asked
"Yea, I don't really know why but I kinda just woke up and since no one else was up and I couldn't fall back asleep so I just started playing this" He said while showing me his IPod. On it was 'Jet pack Joyride'

"Oh I have that game I'll verse you" I said with a smirk.
"Bring it on" he said.
We both played the app side by side. Although I made it quite far he beat me by quite a bit. And during our competition slowly everyone woke up. Except for Susan she just kept sleeping. I went back to my spot and starred to pack up all my stuff lying around. Jake came closer and called out
"Oooh it looks like Sasha and Brandon are crushing on eachother ooohhhh mm" and he tried to kiss and make out with the air.
I saw Brandon roll his eyes in the background and I was really fed up with Jake. I picked up my IPod and threw it at Jake. It hit him right on the bridge of his nose.

"Nice throw" I heard Brandon mumble in the background
Jake was hunched over in pain and I rushed over to him. When I was at his side I picked up my IPod and made sure it wasn't cracked. Thank god it was still in one piece and didn't break.

I looked over at Jake still hunched over. Gosh it must've hurt him more than I thought. Then I heard quiet sobs coming from him. I bent down to his level and asked
"Hey Jake? Are you okay?" Just to be answered with more quiet sobs.

"Jake, I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm really sorry are you okay?" I asked more afraid. I started to get worried. What if he broke his nose. Was he hurt so badly that he couldn't talk. He was sobbing still and I was starting to panic
"JAKE! Are you okay please answer me! I'm sorry I'm really sorry"
He finally looked up at me.

Expecting to see a tear stricken face I felt bad but that suddenly boiled into anger when he revealed his face showing a huge smile.
He looked at me dead on and said "Gotcha"

Without even time to think I slapped his face so fast and so hard that the noise of the smack woke up Susan from her slumber.
There was a bright red mark on his cheek, Susan looked at him.
"What? Did you fall on your face or something?" She asked

I crawled back to my sleeping bag.
"Yea, that's exactly what happened" I said smuggly as Robin and Brandon laughed in background.
