Not your typical romance

Christmas time

Sasha's POV

"Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin layed an egg" I chant as I walk around the snow covered track with some of my friends. I absolutly love the Christmas season. It gives me the right to sing christmas carols without being questioned. Also Santa comes and gives presents to the good boys and girls :) and speaking of presents it makes me wonder would Richard give me anything? I wouldn't mind if he did but if he didn't I wouldn't mind that much anyways.
"Hey Sasha" one of my friends brought me back to focus. "Looks like someone has visions of sugar plums dancing in their head" she said while snickering. "Or should I say visions of Richard" she blurts out in a mean tone.
I take some offence in this because people are always taunting me about Richard. We never actually told people that we like eachother so its more of a secret. But I still find it offending when someone makes fun of me.
"You just wish you were his girlfriend thats all" I retort with anger as I storm off where people wont insult me. Behind I hear my friends snickering and chuckling get quieter as I stomp away.
"Britney always getting on my nerves" I mumble to myself. Shes always thinking that shes better than everybody and acting all bratty. Not to mention she has a huuuuuuuuuge crush on not only Richard but Rocky as well. (But I know they both hate her (they tell me that))
The sound of bells interupts my thinking to signal that recess is over. I reluctantly walk back inside and much to my surprise Richard is behind me. He whispers into my ear "Stay near me during music, I want to show you something." My stomach did a flip-flop. I could only wonder what could happen. After all music was later on in the day.
I went to Miranda the only one I told about the Richard and I "thing" and i told her everything that happened. "You need to come to me first thing after music ok??" Miranda says as shakes me violently. "O-o-o-k-k-a-y" I barely manage to get out.

Later that day
Ive been waiting all day fpr this moment...what will happen. Richard hasn't even given any hints yet!!! From what he said earlier I decided to line up behind him while we waited for the teacher.

I wait for what seems to be forever but its only been 2 minutes and then I see Richard look at me and wink as he brought his hand farther back to mine. Then he places something small and circular in my hand . He smiled and went back to talking with his friends.
I contemplated whether I should look at it or not but curiosity got the best of me and I took a peek.
To my surprise I was holding a cute silver coloured ring with the shape of a bird and a butterfly on it. The bird was blue and the butterfly was pink. It was very pretty and it was quite unique. So to keep it safe I decided to wear it. I was even more surprised that when I put the ring on my finger the bird and butterfly changed colours.

That was the sweetest thing anyone had ever given me. And i knew that was the beginning of a wonderful Christmas.
