Marshall's POV
Again, I sat at home, looking for lyrics. This time, the words had came to me quite easily. Satisfied with myself, I picked up my acoustic guitar and eyed the song notes. I usually didn't use my acoustic- but my bass wouldn't really go with the song. I began to strum, and then sang:
♪My long-lost life,
My long-lost love ,
My long-lost search for this-
I've been holding dear,
What isn't even mine ,
And giving away what is-
My heart is in Elysium,
My eyes concupiscent-
The devil's tearing
At my heart,
But it feels so heaven sent.
My long lost love♪
I sighed deeply while putting down my guitar. The song was actually sad, really sad- too sad to even be about fionna. She was bright, and cheerful, and happy. this song explained basically the opposite of what she was. I wondered what she was doing.
I was snapped Out of my daydream when I heard the door to my house creek open. Someone was inside. In attack mode, I crept down the stairs, making sure not to make a sound. When I turned my head around the corner, I saw a lovely fionna, dressed in all blue. It made her look really pretty; I have to admit. It just brought out her eyes.
Once she caught sight of me; her expression brightened."hey marsh." She greeted me, turning a crimson red. I loved it when she blushed. I flew over to her slowly, and casually asked, "whatcha doing here?" Throwing a half smile at her. She scuffed around with her feet, carefully choosing her words, "oh- I was bored, so I came over here. I thought we could hang out." I flew a circle around her, slightly nodding my head, mumbling, "yeah, sure." sending myself across the room. I landed with a front flip, on the opposite side of it. She gave me a wild look, and simply asked, "so- what do you want to do?"
I shrugged at her, smiling, "I don't know."
She sat herself awkwardly on my couch, her eyes locked on me. I could smell her from there.

Fionnas POV
The vampire king floated casually above me; hands behind his head and a smirk on his face. The tips of his fangs dripped out of his mouth with his smirk. He then turned upside down, nose to nose with me. I couldn't help blushing. His ink black hair dripped down in marvelous ways, flowing and fitting to his face with perfection. My eyes got wide as he came closer. And closer. And leaning to the left towards my neck? Wait Fionna, think. Vampire. Neck. Blood.
He was so close to my neck, I could feel his breath quicken, every second he got closer to it. I was going to die. And I was going to let Marshall lee do it.

Marshall's POV
My mouth watered at the thought. Human blood, real blood. My fangs sharpened. I had officially lost all remembrance that fionna was my friend. As a stared at her upside down, my eyes went red, and she knew. I leaned close to the girls neck, soon to be oozing out with deciduous, succulent blood. I got closer and closer to her neck. Was she really going to let me? I touched the tip of my fang to her skin. I could feel the blood, running through her veins.
Fionna shreiked, as my lips came to her neck.
She thought I actually did it.
I stopped myself, smiling, and simply just gave her a small kiss on her neck. She looked up at me, tears in her eyes. I started cracking up. Like really bad.
All she could do was slap me. my head flung back in confusion. I sat up, rubbing my cheek, glancing at fionna, who still had tears running down her red face. She quietly asked, "why'd you bite me.." I couldn't keep the smile away. "Fionna." I finally admitted. "I didn't bite you for reals. That would of hurt. Really bad." I expected fi to just brush it off. But she just stared at me, straight into my eyes, through my non-existing soul. I had to do something to make my adventuress happy again. I neared her slowly, making her feel safe. Then, I stretched my arms around her, feeling her warmth transfer to my dead heart.
I wiped her tears away with my thumb, making her smile that smile I loved. Lastly, I set my forehead to hers, making my onyx bangs rest on the top of her gold ones, and said in the most soft voice," fi, I will never hurt you. Ill never let anything happen to you. You know that, right?" She nodded her head at the gesture. Her eyes were still as wide as ever. I knew she was shocked.
If I really wanted to bite fi, I could. But I didn't want to. (At least for now) I kept my control around her, knowing that any second I could go crazy. That second never seemed to come.
After a few moments, I backed away to take a look at my fi. (There I go, getting all possessive already) she had a bright smile on her face and the tears had stopped coming. Her frail, vulnerable figure sat there in blank happiness, in front of mine. She looked so stunning. I didn't even question myself on that one. She was stunning, for sure.
It got dark, fast. We both eventually laid down on my couch, quite comfortably I must say, her snuggling up in the crook of my neck. She was so warm, and she smelled like vanilla. I had fallen in love with that intoxicating smell. Once in a while, we casually talked to each other about random things, from what cake thought about me, to why gumball always had his pants in a twist. We laughed about that one. She ended up falling asleep on my unmoving chest, hers peacefully rising and falling.
I felt something strange while I laid next to the sleeping fionna; something out of reach and irregular. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I knew it wasn't anything that Fi did. Something in the area was looking for us. Or me?
Behind me, I heard a zap. I didn't want to look. But I had to. At the sight, I quickly wrapped my arms around fionna possessively, hissing.
It was my mother.
She had come from the nighto'sphere to greet me? She must of had some other thing to do here, like suck a few souls. I wasn't important to her.
She looked down at me and Fionna, gasping at my actions. By this time, my adventuress was awake.

Fionnas POV
I woke up more than startled, to a hissing Marshall lee. Not at me though. He hugged me, and I could feel the care inside him. He directed his possessive hisses towards a tall being across the room.
The creature had pinned up black hair, like Marshall. She wore a grey suit, and the suit was wearing blood. She shared his eyes, too.
"What are YOU doing here?!" Marshall yelled at her. "What do you want?!" She placed a hand on her hip, and spoke in a devious voice, "Marshall why can't I come see you? Don't be a baby." She laughed, glancing Over at me. Marshall's expression darkened, as he stood up, still protectively in front of me. The lady stared, into my eyes and into my soul. " you.. You have a human." She stated. Marshall's fangs grew longer and sharper than i had ever seen them. He puffed his chest out and darkly told the lady, "she's mine."
My heart jumped at the thought, and I got unexplainably red.
"Oh! It's your snack!" I heard the lady say. Marshall bursted out in frustration, "NO MOM. IM NOT GOING TO EAT HER." His eyes got dangerously red. So this was his mom. Nice.
his mother had the most confused look on. "But why not? It's a human."
"She's not an it!" Marshall hissed. His mothers face went blank when the truth finally hit her. " YOU... Have developed attractions to this human?!" She walked closer to him, putting her hands on her hips.
Marshall gave me a sly look, and then smoothly told his mother, "I don't love this." I could see the pain on his face. "she is simply my henchman, nothing more." It was obvious he was holding his fangs back. He started to float around the room, explaining more. "you see, this girl has stupendous fighting abilities. She helps me find, and catch my prey, so I don't have to. If she fails, the chick dies." He was now holding back tears, but somehow pulled it off. He covered it up with a smirk. His mother believed him, and strut over to me, her blood red heels cutting into the carpet. She wasn't a vampire for sure. and she couldn't fly.
She looked me up and down, her dangerous eyes memorizing every detail. She softly lifted up my chin, and turned back to Marshall, "too bad she's a human. She might have actually suited you."
He had finally relaxed a bit, his fangs a bit duller. She said no other word, before she left, back into the nighto'sphere, into the portal. I just stood there, stunned. So stunned, for a moment, I didn't even realize that Marshall was hugging me, apologizing, "I'm so sorry fi. I wish I never said that. It wasn't real. Trust me." His demon eyes stared into my blue ones, relaxing me. Did i trust him? I only had one question. "Why did you have to say that?" He looked at me in terror, barley being able to spit out the words, "....she would of killed you if I didn't."
