Fionna's POV

"Everything's perfectly fine." I heard him let out along with a small sigh. I knew he was lying, and I wanted to object, but the moon caught my gaze before I got a chance to. It looked like it was about midnight. I couldn't even imagine how cake would react; i honestly think she was getting used to this by now. I realized that he was still awaiting an answer from me, also. "Amazing." I told him, smiling.

"What are you talking about fi?" He questioned, cocking his head to the side. I replied simply: "your question earlier. That's what I think we are. We are amazing." I knew that wasn't the answer he was looking for. His expression became disappointed, and then quickly changed to playful. You know what I think we are?" He asked, childishly pulling me to my feet and holding me close to him, once again making the sparks fly. "I think we're ecstatic." He whispered. Of course I blushed. After a few quiet seconds, I finally got up the courage to reply with a small but sincere, "I think so too."

This brought a huge grin to his face, an he began to recite basically the same words I just pondered moments prior. "I Better get you home before cake blows a fuze and does something risky."

I Gave him a small, sad, but understanding nod. He picked me up once more, this time instead of bridal style, he gave me a piggyback ride. I had to say, I liked this a lot better than the usual. I felt tall, and I could actually see where we were going.

He flew for a while; over lush forests and deep lakes, over several houses, of all shapes and sizes. I watched every bit of it fly by, probably never to be seen again in that exact sort of way.

After a bit longer, we were at the tree fort. He flew up to my window, instructing me carefully. "You can't. Wake. Cake." He said, glancing over at the snoring feline in my dresser drawer. I nodded, and he began to slowly open the window, making a small squeaking noise. Once the window was halfway open, he set me down on the ledge. I smiled at the king, admiring how much he did for me. "Thanks Marshall lee."

He was close enough for me to do what I needed to do. I grabbed his hand, and pulled him close to me. I stole a small peck, which he gladly returned. Then I sheltered myself in my house, giving him a small wave.

I closed the window, and watched him fly away.

After that, I climbed into bed, and tried to fall asleep. But I couldn't. I couldn't, I was uncomfortable. Someone was watching me.

Marshall's POV

The adventuress closed the window on me and gave me a small wave, along with a sad smile. I decided, that was the right time to leave. After all, the vampire king needed time to himself sometimes. I took one last longing look at the girl, and then took off, into what was left of the night.

I flew, and thought. I kicked my leg over the other, casually back floating in the air. I thought about the general image of us. What exactly were we? The answer fi had supplied me with wasn't really helpful. I still believed- and knew, that we were ecstatic.

I thought about us, and how much it reminded me of... A song. That was sure to be our song. Sure, It was old, all the way back from 2010, but it was perfect. I didn't write it, no, but I couldn't help but want to play it.

I shot towards my house, going so fast, I almost ran into my own door. I took a breath, continued into my home, and made my way into my room.

The door to the attic, was located on the ceiling. I hadn't been up there in ages, and the proof was the amount of dust that came showering down on top of my head when I opened it.

I shook my hair and puffed the dust from my face, not amused. I flew up into the attic, realizing that there was more dust than I thought.

It was just like any other old attic, except this one was filled with... Supplies. Not tools. Not even close to a hammer. Boxes and boxes of swords, guitars, and magical trinkets I'd collected over the years.

My gaze skimmed past a few swords, an enchanted rubix cube, and a few other unimportant things before I caught sight of my old guitar. My favorite acoustic guitar, the one that had silver at the handle, and gradually blended into a dark red at the base.

I picked up the acoustic, caring about nothing other in the room. I made my way back into my bedroom, guitar in hand, admiring its beauty. I didn't want to play it in my room, oh no, somewhere... Different.

I flew down the stairs an flung the door open. I anxiously floated up to the top of my house, peacefully placing myself on the point of the roof, finally giving myself a chance to breathe.

I placed the guitar on my lap, remembering the notes. Just the thought of the melody made me smile. I recalled the lyrics, and readied my fingers. I let out a small sigh, and began to play.

"My head is stuck in the clouds,

She begs me to come down

Says, "boy, quit foolin' around."

I told her, "I love the view from up here,

Warm sun and wind in my ear,

We'll watch the world from above,

As it turns into the rhythm of love."

We may only have tonight,

But till' the morning sun, you're mine,

All mine.

Play the music low,

And sway to the rhythm of love.

My heart, beats like a drum,

A guitar string to the strum,

A beautiful song to be sung.

She's got- blue eyes, deep like the sea,

That roll back when she's laughing at me-

She rises up like the tide,

The moment her lips meet mine.

We may only have tonight,

But till the morning sun, you're mine,

All mine.

Play the music low,

And sway to the rhythm of love.

When the moon is low,

We can dance in slow, motion.

And all your tears, will subside.

All your tears, will dry.

And long, after I've gone,

You'll still be humming along,

And I will keep you in my mind-

The way you make love, so fine.

We may only have tonight,

But till the morning sun, you're mine,

All mine.

Play the music low,

And sway to the rhythm of, love.

Yeah, sway to the rhythm of love."
