Chapter 5½ - Ashley's POV

I don't know, but the day I had texted Tyler was the day I decided to go to the orphanage to play with some kids.

Weirdly enough, around 2:51pm or something like that, it started to drizzle. My driver told me to get in the car so that we could go home, but I told him I was fine. I could even play in the rain.

Or so I thought. It began to rain heavily and all the kids rushed into the orphanage. I went back inside the car and my driver sped off.

[Driver] Ma'am, are you okay

[Me] It's just a little rain, I'm okay

He nodded. Suddenly, the car stopped. He started the car over and over again but to no avail. It was raining really hard and the driver got out to check the engine. He was getting wet and I kinda felt sorry for him. I got out of the car to help him out.

[Driver] Ma'am what are you doing? You're soaked

[Me] YOU'RE soaked. Two heads are better than one.

He didn't want to do it, but noddedmm anywammy. He kept trying to figure out how to fix it and told me to start the car every now and then. After minutes of waiting, a black Nissan stopped on the opposite side of the road. Out came Tyler, and of all people, Amber. Tyler shouted across the road to me.

[Tyler] Ash, what happened?! You know what, it doesn't matter! Come, we'll drop you off!

[Me] What?! Umm...okay!

Amber walked into the rain to help me. I took my purse and went with her. I nodded as the driver said he would get the car to the mechanic.

I sat in the car and Tyler drove off. He and Amber were talking about some things that I had no idea of. They shared the same interests and they looked so perfect together. It broke my heart to see this. Suddenly, Amber turned to me apologetically. She seemed tired as she stretched and yawned.

[Tyler] Do you wanna sleep? Again? Seriously how tired are you?

[Amber] Shut up Ty. I didn't sleep well last night. I'll go to the back seat so that Ashley can come sit in front.

Then she winked at me. I gulped. Tyler hesitated but nodded. He stopped the car. By now it had stopped raining a little so it was totally safe. Amber and I switched places. It was so awkward because we were not talking. Suddenly Amber pinched Tyler and he got startled.

[Tyler] So umm... Ashley....do you still watch Dance Forever?

[Me] Yeah

[Tyler] Cool. At least that's one thing we still have in common.

[Me] Yeah cool

There was silence in the car after that. All of a sudden,my phone rang. The ringtone was one of Tyler's favorite songs. He begged me not to answer it. I had no intention of doing so because the caller ID was 'Amber my fave cousin❤️'. I glanced at Amber. She winked and mouthed, "You need this."

I rolled my eyes at her. But it was actually working. Tyler whined like a baby when the ringtone was done. He asked if I still had most of his favorite songs. I nodded and played a few more. We started talking again, though it was a bit awkward.

After a while, the conversation got boring and I glanced at Amber again. Suddenly she yawned as if to wake up and rubbed her eyes.

[Amber] Wait, we're still driving?

I rolled my eyes. Award winning actress Amber Mann.

[Me] *sarcastically* Yes Amber, we're still driving. How was your sleep though?

[Amber] I don't know. I didn't dream. I was hoping to be at home when I woke up.

[Tyler] Good to know Amber
