Chapter 8 - Infatuation or True Love

[Tyler] Ah...

He had woken up on his bed. His head was bandaged. He saw his parents staring at him, scared.

[Mum] Ty, are you...

[Tyler] M-mum, d-d-dad...

Then he looked around.

[Dad] Someone bought you here. It was a guy if you're wondering. Probably a friend of yours.

[Tyler] D-d-description p-please.

[Mum] Dark hair, blue eyes, light skin. I think he is the cutest guy in the world. Except he immediately left. It was really weir-

[Tyler] B-blue- eyed f-freak!

[Mum] You call him blue-eyed freak? You're odder than I thought.

Tyler tried to get up.

[Tyler] Where is h-he?

[Mum] He left you a note though.

Mum gave it to Tyler and it read:

Hey, I have thought about some things and I apologize for hitting you. Listen, I have something against the Mann's, and I can help you. Here's my number: +1 234 567 890. Call me.

[Tyler] Thanks mum. Can I get up?

[Mum] No of course not. Stay in bed

Tyler got up anyways and walked to the window. Then everything came rushing back. He remembered something.

[Tyler] Amber! She's still in the car! And Ashley!

[Dad] Calm down. They are fine. Amber is actually h-

[Amber] Tyler?!

[Ashley] OMG! You're awake!

Amber rushed to hug him as Ashley sat on the bed.

[Amber] I was so worried! Never leave me alone like that ever again Or you're grounded!

[Tyler] Calm down, 'mum'. And I won't leave you like that again.

[Amber] That guy from the mall brought you here

[Tyler] I know. He says he knows something that can be used against your fake parents.

[Ashley] He told us that. And his name is Logan, not blue eyed freak. He said he needs to talk to you.

[Tyler] Yeah he left me his number.

[Amber] But I'm so happy you're okay. OMG I thought I'd lose you again.

Tyler placed his hands on her cheeks.

[Tyler] I won't ever leave you

[Amber] Promise?

[Tyler] I promise

Seeing this, Tyler's mum, dad and Ashley left the room to give them privacy.

[Amber] Where are they going

[Tyler] Don't know, but it means we're alone

[Amber] I hate the thought of that

Tyler went closer

[Amber] Stop, you're sick

[Tyler] I'm fine

[Amber] You're mentally ill.

Tyler stepped forward again.

[Amber] Take one more step and I'll kill you

[Tyler] You can try

[Amber] I'll do it

[Tyler] You and what army

Tyler leaned closer and for a while the world was made up of the two of them. But Tyler only whispered in her ear.

[Tyler] Start confessing

[Amber] Confessing what

[Tyler] I love you

[Amber] No you don't

[Tyler] I do

[Amber] Trust me you don't

[Tyler] You want me to prove it?

He moved closer to kiss her when a nurse walked in. He saw Amber's cheeks turn red as she breathed a sigh of relief.

[Nurse] Sorry to bother you, but I came to hand over your medications. Excuse me.

[Tyler] Thank you

Then the nurse left. Amber released herself from his grasp and tried to leave, but he held her by the waist and pulled her back.

[Tyler] Now, where were we?

Then he leaned closer to kiss her. She was red like a tomato. He almost laughed. They were so close but suddenly she pushed him away.

[Amber] Leave me alone. Why are you always doing this to me?

[Tyler] Doing what

[Amber] Making me feel worthless

[Tyler] How?

[Amber] I forced you into a relationship with me and now you're falling for me. Are you just playing with my feelings or what?

[Tyler] I'm really honest. I like you a lot

[Amber] No

[Tyler] Amber, listen, forget Ashley; we decided to be friends if you're wondering. We can be together.

[Amber] No!

Tyler was speechless. He had never seen Amber so angry.

[Amber] I'm sorry, I mean, I like you too, a lot, but the people who raised me are in jail. I know they're not my biological parents, but they ARE my parents, Tyler

[Tyler] I understand. I won't bother you anymore.

Amber felt guilty as Tyler sat on his bed with his head lowered. She sat beside him and placed her hand on his. Tyler then hugged her.

[Amber] Get well soon you blockhead

[Tyler] I will

Then Amber left.
